Only available in North America, Asahi Select is a tribute to the richer beers of our past. A premium amber lager the satisfies thirst for more flavor while remaining smooth on the palate. Select utilizes crystal malts to provide both rich amber color and caramel taste that is balanced by mellow aroma hops.
Tasting Notes: Three quality ingredients yield the satisfying flavor of Asahi Select. Crystal malts for amber hue and caramel taste, aroma hops to balance sweetness and lager yeast for superb blend of richness and crispness. Pair with a wide range of foods; chicken, burgers and barbecue.

12oz bottle pour at 2019 Taste of the Upper Westside in NYC. Pours an dark copper color with moderate head retention. No perceptual aromas from hops. As an amber lager it quite unique with subtle sweet biscuity flavor reminiscent of traditional English ales. Overall an excellent flavor balance between malt and hops with a smooth finish. Great entry level amber beer for those who enjoy maltier beers minus the hop bitterness.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a clear golden amber with a small white head. The aroma is malt and floral hops. The taste closely resembles the aroma and is not bad. An average beer.
