This pours a clear golden colour with a centimetre of head that sticks around a leaves a reasonable covering.
A touch of sweetness on the nose but not too much. Reasonable amount of hops.
Full malt flavours but still that Japanese macro metallic flavour but less than I've found in others.
Full bodied.
One of the better brews I've tasted from the Japanese macros.

A: Pale yellow-straw color, lots of carbonation, and a large bubbly head that disappointingly shrinks to a small lacing and eventually disappears.
S: Staw, some slightly sweet pale malts. Not much of the spicy or herbal notes I'd expect from a decent pilsner.
T: Straw, pale malts...just a little bit of spice from the hops (Saaz?)
M: Smooth, bubbly, crisp finish with a lingering dry hops spiciness on the tongue.
O: Not a bad beer, but nothing special either. I had high hopes for "The Master", but it does little to differentiate itself from other major all-malt (namely, no rice or corn in the mash) pilsners or pilsner-esque lagers in the Japanese market. I'd rather have an Ebisu.

The color was just right and the head was pretty (although it faded fast.)
The smell was not strong, but was a bit creamy and had the typical pils hops notes.
The beer tastes good, although the first couple sips had an almost metallic aftertaste. But as the beer warmed, the aftertaste became a more subtle and pleasant soft hop.
It is fairly expensive for what it is, but I might buy it again if the mood strikes.

This beer is excellent and full in tast compared to the other beers from Asahi.
A - Golden, clear and looking very inviting to drink.
S - Fruity, a bit like dates; sweet.
T - It tastes like it smells, fruity but with a slight metallic aftertaste. Maybe because it was a can..?
M - Smooth, medium carbonation.
D - One of my favorite Japanese beers, but unfortunately not everywhere to get.

I drink at least two of these a day. Nuff said really but I know some of you want more details. So...
A - Nice and golden with about 2 inches of froth from a pour (though this beer works JUST FINE straight out of the can!).
S - Sweet with a hint of honey... almost reminds me of warm Grolsch...
T - Nice balance of hops, malt, and sweetness. Nothing to complain about here. Just keep 'em coming!
M - Very smooth and doesn't leave you smacking your lips with stickiness. Nice sweet malty finish.
D - This is a drinker's beer. It's a very safe pick for those not having luck with Japanese beer.
If you happen to be in Japan, please pick up a sixer or two of these. You won't regret it!

Appearance: Clear golden brew with a frothy, white head.
Smell: Sweet malt, butter, touch of hops.
Taste: Smooth, creamy brew with a hint of citrus in the finish. Good malt profile.
Mouthfeel: Medium body. Waxy fullness with great consistency.
Drinkablity: Good brew. Very drinkable and a bold step for Asahi. Nice body and pretty interesting, yet standard flavor. Another good Japanese all-malt.
