Very hazy pale straw yellow body with a luxuriously creamy white head that seems to multiple impossibly quickly. The nose and taste are one and the same: light wheat, a bit of yeast, light peppery notes. The flavor does add an extra touch of sourdough, but that's the only variation. All in all it could be called light and refreshing, or weak and faint; depends on your mood. It is not, however, watered down; everything seems to hit with its intended intensity, which is to say, like a girl's punch. The body is light and extremely delicately carbonated, if a bit overly so.
I think I drank this beer under exactly the right conditions for it to be judged most favorably: after a long run in the heat and sun (in March in northern Illinois, oddly enough). So it came across in the best possible light, and still I thought it was too light. it shied away from the spiced notes I would have expected, and on the whole was less assertive than its style would assume. But it was still a tasty treat that refreshed and satisfied me, and its modesty was very much appreciated.

Light lemon yellow color with nice white cap and good lace.

Nose is slightly spicy, with a bit of yeasty french bread. Hint of clove, or that might be in my imagination because I look for that sort of thing in a Belgian.

On entry I get pastry flavored with a mild lemon in the way of a lemon tart without the tart. Mid palate I get muted spice blended with the tart and this lasts to the finish. Aftertaste brings a surprising sweetness to cap off the tartness. I suspect there are hops in there but they're darned well hidden.

Medium creamy texture balanced with carbonation.

Overall it's a light, bright, tasty little trifle worthy of a smile. Sprightly in an almost airy way wafting on an early Summer breeze. I really wouldn't want to pair this food because it's delightful on it's own.

Poured immediately after a Bernardus wit, I'm struck by how light this is in comparison. Much hazier, too.

The aroma is bright and fruity, with a grainbill that's not nearly as wheat-heavy as most other iterations of the style. Nothing bad, but pretty tame.

Tastes... different, but enjoyable. Like a low-hopped european pils with some small hints of wheatmalt. Lightly bitter, very little peppery malt up front, straight up pils malt in the middle, and then a lemony finish. Thick body throughout really keeps the beer afloat.
