Pours a clean ruby-brown, with a thick head of carbonation and an attractive lace web.

Nose is caramel, a bit of fruitiness, and a yeasty earthiness. Pretty appealing and complex.

The taste is sweet and malty up front, with tons of fruit and berries. I get some tartness more towards the finish.

Subtle, unique, and quite enjoyable.

Pours a clear, dark brown color. 2/3 inch head of an off-white color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of sourness, slight sweet malt, slight pale malt, hint of hops, hint of dry hop, and hint of sulfur. Fits the style of a Flanders Oud Bruin. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of sourness, pale malt, slight sweet malt, hint of citrus, and hint of metallic. Overall, good appearance, sour level is appropriate, but body is lacking in quality.

A-Pours a toasted caramel color. Hints of ruby. Body is clear. Head is fluffy and off-white. The head dies down to a jagged layer of froth. Plentiful lacing.

S-Tartness derived from dried fruit aromas. Lactic and oaky. Lingering sweetness. Yeasty and a bit musty. High in lactic aroma.

T-Far less tart than the nose. More of a basic flavor here. Brown maltiness, wet toast and yeast. Far lighter notes of oak. Less tart and lactic. Sweet, ripe fruits. Fruit leather rolls. Soggy toasted malts and residual sweetness.

M-Medium bodied. Almost light bodied. Soft creaminess with buzzing carbonation. Semi-dry. Drinkable enough.

O/D-Not super tart or funky but that is okay because I don't think I would have liked an ramped-up version of what the nose was offering.

Enjoyed this 12oz bottle out of a tulip glass at Harrington’s Pub in National Harbor, MD.

A: Pours a dark ruby hue with a decent, 2-finger, tannish head that slowly dissipates down the slide of glass ending in a wispy lace.

S: Strong fruity and malty aroma. Lots of dark fruits that is slightly sweet and sour.

T: Tart dark fruit up front followed by a solid malty background with hints of oak and cherries in the finish.

M: Thick body and medium carbonation.

O: Excellent Oud Bruin. One of the best I’ve had. Easily drinkable and excellent flavors and aromas.
