Smokeless Joe's. Whitish head on ligh coloured body, and lots of lace dots left. Neutral aroma. The mouthfeel is thin, the wheat has a bit of bitterness, and this is very drying. Drinkable beer, but minimal on taste,a tad of spice is it, poor for style.

Compared to the Sushine Wheat I just had this beer is awesome, pours like a mix of tea and lemonade with a decent fluffy head that leaves a smalll amount of lace.Aroma is deeply spiced and yeasty with some medicinal notes.Taste is robust for a wit yeasty/spicey with a lingering orange note that is light.A hefty brew for the style but very appetizing in my book, would like to try again sometime.

Now as "Ezel", at 6.8%.
Pours dirty hazy golden, small white head for a while, sticky creamy lace afterwards.
Smells rather nice, with wheat, sweet honey, citrus peel, blond fruit, clove and coriander.
Taste is rather sweet, with cream and wheat up front, honey, lots of banana and quite some apricot, apple and pear. Fruity, yes, but there's a lot of sugar in there too, not entirely pleasant. Coriander, citrus peel, and the traditional herbal feel is a bit covered by the sweet wheaty blanket. Otherwise, nice peppercorn, quite some clove, and a bit of booze, which is surprising for a wit. Mild bitter finish with lots of spiciness left.
Clunky, syrupy body, medium carbonation, not the most refreshing wit.
Tasty, tho the sugars should have been kept in check. Not the best wit, but has some nice new notes (for me, at least) that sets it apart from the mediocre bunch.

Hazy, cloudy yellow-orange with a low white head and decent carbonation. Nice perfumy fruit and spice aroma. Lemony, tart and winey flavor - a bit too tart and winey for me. Medium bodied and creamy. Finishes with a tart dryness.

Note: Not sure of the relationship between this beer and Kuurnse Wit (which is supp 7.5% ABV)... Michael Jackson leads you to believe they are the same but don't see how that is possible based on ABV on bottle. Anyone know ?

Brown 25cl bottle of 5.8%ABV, best before 13th July 2010, opened and reviewed 26th March 2010.

Poured into a 'Hougaerdse DAS' tumbler.

Impressive pure white foaming head sat on top of a slightly hazey, dull golden body.

Washing soda smell, not good! There were hints of orange/corriander, but not enough to find unless you knew they should be there.

Tasted like a watered down version of a good Witbier.

Weak from start to finish, a big let down to be honest.

The pour is a nice "Chill Hazed" lemon yellow orange color with a brilliant white head that is preposterous in size, the lace in thick glutinous sheets that cling tightly to the glass. Nose is earthy, citrus, light hints of coriander; the start is lightly sweet, the top middling in mouth feel. Finnish is quite tart, the carbonation stinging, and the hops pleasant enough with a dry aftertaste, a nice representative “Wit” beer and worth a sample.

Golden, unfiltered hazy milky yellowy colour. Pours with a huge head that soon settles down to about 1/4" down to the last mouthful, which coats the glass edges with a mottled lace clearly marking the volume drunk of the last mouthfull. Lovely fresh faintly spicy aroma, clean and crisp with a long-tasting fruity, body. Mmmm, this is really good. Strong wheat ale taste and quite dry. A solid unfiltered wheat beer. The label is white with a blue sash top right to bottom left and a red coat of arms over the a picture of donkey. Label also states that it is imported by WIN-IT-TOO (Globalbeer).

Nice pale hazy light yellow, some citrus on nose. This is a solid wit with a bigger midbody than Hooegarden ( though less citrus). The finish is almost bitter but altogether this a very drinkable wit with a good body though not super complex. Would buy again as I like wits though they can be hard to find

25cl bottle. Ezel label and listed as 5.8%.

Poured a medium and cloudy golden color with an averaged sized white head. Aromas of wheat, spices, and some citrus. Tastes of lemons, wheat, citrus, and light yeast. Lightly tart finish.

Hazy pineapple juice color, fizzy small-bubbled head that lasts about one minute. Thick lace with lots of depth. Yeasty aroma, slight nose of estery cloviness and a big impression. Lightly lemony, low carbonation, creamy and hinting at sweet coconut and breadfruit maltiness with the aroma re-inforcing the impression. Flavor profile proceeds past the tongue and into the swallow. Seeing as I'm not a huge Wit fan, this shows some of the best aspects of the style. Lots of similarities to the lighter Wittekerke.

Now Just called Ezel Biere Blanche or Ezel Wit Bier or Ezel White Beer. 6.8% alc. Decent and drinkable. Pours hazy into the glass with a moderate head. I found it pleasant and enjoyable.

BB 19-04-06. Good presentation with nice head though not overwelming and golden, slightly amber beercolor. Nose is much koreander and citrussy from orange next to some wheat and caramellic malts. Taste is also lots of koreander witch brings sweetness in and some hard bitterness; probably also from yeast. Orange obvious and some nice maltcarracter but also buttery. Could have more carbon dioxide and this unplesant bitterness together with the butter doesn't make mouthfeel to a feast. Drinkable but rather have something else.

Bottle with a BB date of 3/14/13.
A-Cloudy, darker orange than many Belgian wit beers. A couple fingers of white prominent foam.
S-Hard to tell this is a wheat beer. Heavy in alcohol and weak in yeasty esters and spicy character.
T-Very shitty wheat beer. More like a high ABV pils than anything else. I wouldn't classify as a Belgian wit beer. Weak in flavor.
M-High in carbonation weak in body and low in flavor this is a dud.
O-This is a poor example of a Belgian wit. Tastes more like a crappy pils, a bad beer to finish my night with.

Dark-ish yellow. Hazed. Big poof of white foam atop the body. Musty, aged cavern aroma. Some hints of lemon/citrus, but that's more of a subtle note than a driving theme here.

Remarkably dry brew. A cottonmouth-generating earthiness loaded with pure coriander flavor dominates. Grassy with subtle hints of peach and lemon zest. Finishes bone dry. An interesting take on the style. A beefier, more hearty version.

I believe this is the beer I had; the label was different, and it was called In Amore (with IA being for the sound made by the donkey), but it is a witbier made by Bavik that features a donkey on the label. They don't mention any of these on their website, so I'm just guessing this is the same beer.
Thick and dense foamy head on a hazy orange color. Very nice smell, floral with a sweet sour cream aspect and light hints of caramel. The taste is enjoyable but surprizing for a witbier. Floral with some violette, it reminds me of sour cream pie, but almost with burnt notes of dough. Nicely creamy, very sweet, round, but a bit too peppery to be really drinkable.

I tried this beer on May 7, 2009 at "Smokeless Joe's" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a cloudy golden-orange with a thin white head. The aroma was slightly sweet, wheat malt, and citrus. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied, and medium carbonation. The flavour was slightly sour wheat, with some citrus and spice hints

This beer is pale in color and cloudy almost making it look white. It has a citrussy, yeasty aroma. The body is thin, but it is sweeter than I expected for a wit. It finishes with a slight spiciness and to help compliement the citrus flavor that runs throughout the taste.

White Donkey is a top-fermented Belgian Witbier. Flavored with coriander and lemon peels, it's a powerful Witbier (7.0 a.b.v) but so refreshing you'll hardly notice.
The beer is brewed by Bavik, located in Bavikhove, Belgium. The label features a donkey, which is the symbol of patience but stubborn persistence and is also the nickname for the people of this southwestern Flemish community.

Hazy yellow-orange color. Bleached white head that hung around. Solid citrus with light spice on the nose. Not quite as spiced as Hoegaarden but the wheat comes through clearly. The citrus zest lingers on the tongue. Dry finish.
