Look: golden Amber hue
Smell: Belgium sugar, rock candy, floral,
Taste: Belgium sugar/candy, sweet, floral, little bit of pine/resin after taste (light)
Feel: medium body
Overall: tastey Belgium blonde, only thing I personally am not a fan of is the piney/resin small after taste, but it does taste sweet, complex (for a blonde!), Very tastey.

Dark gold; spice + grass with a touch of herb + flowers; lager grain, touch of candy sugar, hints of anise, pear, + bubblegum, then a big Noble hit; crisp + clean.

Straight nose: big hops, low on esters. Same for the taste - almost a Belgian IPA. Some depth, yet drinkable because it’s balance like an acrobat. That sly quality that Belgium does so well. I see why this has a following.

Had on tap at Lures Bar & Grille. Pours like any Belgian pale ale with a moderate head. Has the regular banana/bubblegum esters with some clove/spice and citrus, plus a slightly sour dark fruit element. Unique, much more complex than an average Belgian pale, enjoyable, and very drinkable at 6.6% ABV. I don't understand the hate for this beer - maybe it's an entirely different beer from the bottle?

I believe this beer is underrated. My own view may have been influenced by the very pleasant brunch I was having when I drank it! In any event I enjoyed it.

Poured from tap into a goblet. Beautiful head and lacing. Nice orangish yellow color. Sweet smelling. Tastes of orange candy, lemon and honey. While sweet, I did not think it overly so. I enjoyed the beer and the brunch!

The beer has an orange, golden colour, typically for an amber beer.
The taste is malt, yeast and some sweetness. Not a really complex flavour
The aftertaste is unpleasantly bitter und metallic.
It is not a bad beer, but the next time, I will skip this one.

A: The beer is crystal clear golden yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a half finger high white head that settled down, but left a large patch of bubbles in the center of the glass, thick lacing and a collar around the edge of the glass, and a thin layer of bubbles on the surface in between.
S: Light aromas of Belgian yeast are present in the nose along with some hints of spices.
T: The taste has flavors of cracker malts intertwined with Belgian yeast and slight bits of sweetness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and quite dry on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The taste of this beer is a little too malty compared to other beers in the style.

Light golden with a little haze and a small but fairly steady head of foam. Weak smell of yeast and grass. Taste of malt and hops (Saaz, Willertau?). Fruit flavours are pretty much absent. Quite a balanced mix of bitter, sour and sweet notes though. Lacks the diversity I expect of a belgian blond however. More suitable for those who like their pilseners more hopped. Not an unpleasant drink, but wouldn't order another.

Pours clear dark golden, two finger white head that disappears quickly, leaving a poor sticky lace and some random traces.
Pretty bland smelling, some grains, some faint Belgian spices, a bit of malty sweetness, some random low fruitiness.
Sweet malts mostly in the taste, a bit syrupy and actually boozy from the start, with a nice butterscotch note, some honey, also marzipan/almond and clove. Faint fruitiness, with a touch of acidic apple, some oranges and a faint hint of apricot. Some nasty grassiness in the finish, with an unclean bitterness and a low metallic note.
Light to medium body, rather fizzy. Almost refreshing if not for the bad notes in the finish, that also ruin the aftertaste.
A close one, but not really there unfortunately. There are some things i like, some not so much, others are simply cringe-worthy. Too bad.

Served from a bottle into Antwerp Beer Passion Weekend 2011 stemware in Antwerp, Belgium in June 2011. Reviewed from notes.

A: Pours a one finger head of slight cream, decent thickness, and bad retention. Colour is a clear yellow.

Sm: A light aroma of plain dull boring barley. Meh.

T: Purely simple barley with some slight cream. No other notes are notable. Bland. Balanced in its simplicity but poorly built for the style. Dull and boring.

Mf: Smooth and wet, but strangely coarse on the open. Doesn't complement the style, but it works for the beer. That said, it's not a special mouthfeel.

Dr: Pretty crappy. It's drinkable enough but far from worth its price. I certainly wouldn't get it again. A poor offering from Bavik.
