11.2oz bottle poured into a snifter

A- pours a deep tawny red color with a one-finger foamy white head that retains a while before settling to a ring around the edge

S- big malty aroma with strong notes of caramel, fig, raisin, prune, fruit cake, brown bread & brown sugar. Spicy yeast gives some clove and banana undertones, along with toasted wheat, also some booze on the close

T- flavor follows the aroma, big malt bomb with huge notes of caramel/toffee, brown sugar & molasses. Intense dark fruits come out in the mid-palate, with flavors of raisin, fig & date. The finish brings some spicy yeast that yields notes of clove and banana esters, some alcohol on the finish with more sweet malt on the linger

M- thick an viscous body with low carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel and a thick filmy finish, lingers of alcohol

O- pretty much everything do you look for in a high alcohol malt bomb. A world-class beer that is always good to revisit once in a wile

Such an outstanding big beer. So many similarities to a Trappist quad but different yeast strain.

Light nutty brown color, sweet honey smell and a very full honey and malted taste

Spicy and estery in both aroma and flavour. More grains in the smell but all in all it's mostly clove, booze and banana. This is a good beer, quite a sipper, but look out because this one hits you hard time.
The taste is very similar than the not-frozen version

Looks pretty vomity in the glass--brown, with some sediment. Light head that disappears very quickly, turbid. But smells and tastes like magic: slight sour, yeasty, doughy, wheaty, fruity, chocolate, clove, banana, cherries, plums/raisins. Brown sugar? One could go on. Taste is much the same, with a pretty fiery ABV kick that's only marginally successful at getting you to slow down your drinking speed. Middle of the road carbonation, body not too thick, given the circumstances.

World-class. Just don't fool yourself into thinking you can do the entire 500mL bottle yourself in one go.

Minimal head. Beautiful aroma of wheat, yeast, flowers and herbs. Dense wheaty, sweet maple and apple malt body. Complex, yet subtle licorice spice. Assertive herbal, leafy hop balances well. Mild yeast character. Full, syrupy body. Low carbonation. This one threw me off at first with its sweetness and heavy body. The more I drank, though, the more it grew on me and the flavors seemed to balance better.

2009 on tap but a bit too oxidized for me at this point.

Poured bottle into flute glass. A smoky mocha beauty. Small head that drifts to nothing.

Noise of sourdough, raisins, malt, nuts

"Oh yeah," I said after the first sip. Rich: chocolate, nuts raw and roasted, caramel. Stirring.

Mouth is heavy in a good way. Smooth but a little bitter.

Absolutely fantastic beer. Chocolate bread in a beer. Essential beer drinking.

11.2 ounce bottle poured into a snifter.

a: Deep mahogany body. Opaque with beige yeast suspended throughout the glass. 1 1/2 finger bubbly, foamy beige head dissipated quickly into a faint ring around the glass.

s: A big estery aroma of plum, clove, banana, almonds with a honey like sweetness from the malts.

t: The flavors are as big as the aroma and more complex. Toasted wheaty, bready malts with honey, spices, prune and banana.

mf: Big and creamy. Heavy body with medium carbonation that lifts up the beers spices. A bit slick and syrupy.

o: Its no Molson Ice, but its ok.
