Poured from a 11.2oz bottle into a Hair of the Dog tulip. Bottled on 8/24/11, so more than 2yrs old now. Bought at Farmer's Harvest in HB (RIP, great store, Mike was the best!!) for $3.90.

A - Very dark ruby red, almost black. Off-white head leaves good lacing.

S - Dried cherries, figs, Twizzlers, a little alcohol (but it enhances the other aromas).

T - Black cherry, oak, dried cherries, chocolate-covered cherries, figs, dates. A little wine note in the finish. Very complex and tasty.

M - Full mouth feel. Really coats the palate well. Carbonation is medium. Alleviates the full body somewhat.

O - Great beer!! One of my favorites. This is one of my favorite beers of all time and a fucking lager!! Fucking Germans, nothing changes!!!

A - Pours the deepest of dark amber orange color with a 1/4 inch of head that fizzes out pretty quickly.
S - Smell has good Weizenbock tones with banana and coriander highlighting but also a deep dark fruit profile like a Belgium Dark ale. Fruity plums and grapes as well but just a mild sent of alcohol on the nose.
T - Big fruity notes of banana and orange. Has some plum and figs with mild spicing of coriander. No noticeable ABV its amazing.
M - As I said it drinks like the Doppelbock at a stronger but not 12% quite good.

Overall pretty much got this on an order of Halftime Beverage so its pretty hard to obtain and it cost over 6 bucks. Still it hides the ABV well and is totally worth the admission.
