Perfect for special occasions: "Mein Kristall" - the prickly crystal "Weissbier" free of yeast, the ideal choice for a stimulating aperitif, served in a fine tall glass. With its delicate carbonation it's a truly inspiring drink for getting attuned to a reception. It also goes astonishingly well with fish. But even in a classic wheat beer glas its never out of place.

500 ml bottle, as Schneider Weisse Tap 2 Mein Kristall, from Vinmonopolet. ABV is 5.3%. Crystal clear pale golden colour, moderate white head. Fairly distinct aroma of banana and cloves, also notes of hay. The flavour is fairly dry for a wheat beer, with some citrus and cloves, hints of banana, but rather bland compared to the brewery’s hefeweizens.

L- Mid-gold, filtered/clear, lively carbonation with 2-3Cm pillowy white head - holds well.
S- Typical spicy Weissbier notes, coriander etc.
T- Typical spicy Weissbier taste into some dry hops and lingering presence. That is the start and end-point of the first few mouthfuls.
F- My bottle is 4.9% and I'd prefer to be trying the (domestic/German?) 5.3% version. The Feel seems a bit underpowered.
O- The flavour is good, but the lower ABV% leaves the Mouthfeel revealed as relatively lacking. I'd like to try the 5.3% version, but I wouldn't buy the 4.9% one again, it comes over as materially unbalanced (Taste v Feel) to me.
Bought from BeersOfEurope in the UK. 500ml bottle. BB: 12/07/2020
Note re: ABV%. Interestingly the Schneider Weisse website also lists the Tap-2 Kristall Weissbier at 5.3%.... maybe they have a lower ABV% version for export to high-duty countries?

From Decervecitas. In Bavaria hefe glass. Playing GooCubelets The Void. Very fresh, refreshing and with a nice, tickling body. Doesnt feel watery in spite of being kristall and hasnt nearly any flavors. Crushable

This was poured into a weizen glass. The appearance had the normal cloudy orange to slight brown color. There’s a slight transparency trying to come in as I do see some light bubbles around the edges rising at a good pace. The head was thick and soft full of at least a good three finger white foaminess that gently died at a nice pace. The smell was slightly bready/yeasty. Slight clove to coriander spice that entered in with the normal "banana" light esters to enter and fulfill it’s commission of the kristallweizens of kristallweizens. The taste was mainly sweet and carried a fairly nice spice to conjure up a fulfilling Summer’s night. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a great sessionability about it. Hot damn, this was really good. The carbonation was there but nowhere to be seen to be overbearing. Oh, how smooth she runs over my mouth. Overall, where in the heck, did this come from? Holy moses, I’d have this again in a heartbeat.
