Quality: I didn't see any beers that were out of date or not in a fridge. They had the newest seasonals and plenty of christmas ales well after other stores were sold out.

Service: The stock room guy was fairly helpful but for the most part, they leave you to yourself. The cashiers def had attitudes like, "f^(k off!" but processed us and got us out quickly enough.

Selection: This is where they kick ass. Wow! They had everything. And I mean everything! I found beers that are literally impossible to find anywhere else in this region. Like Samichlaus Bier, Sam Adams Utopias, Urbok23 and Smisje Grand to name just a few. They have a full length beer wall + 2 full store-length rows + 1 full refrigerator section and misc other small beer sections.

Value: It's a bit pricier than your local liquor store but not pricier than other high quality beer stores. For the selection, it's worth a few extra cents.

Other Notes: It's right off I-95 and plenty of easy parking right in front of the door.

I don't know how many times I've been to State Line. But I do know each visit warrants a side trip to the Waffle House just up the road. I think the dual-destination of the car ride started from the first time, years and years ago... Immense selection of beers from around the country and (kind of) around the world. I've found (and continue to find) things here I've never seen anywhere else... They hardly have the exact same selection, but I've often compared and contrasted State Line with Shangy's... I love the fact that every beer is available in singles. Just rip open a pack and take one. And, if you're a member (is it a 'club'? I've never known), the savings on mix-sixes is relatively amazing... The quality and age of the international selection has always been suspect. Do check for codes/dates. But I'm pretty sure I've never come home with a total disaster, drain-pour deal... It wasn't always there, if memory serves me right, but their growler station at the back almost always has a stellar variety of drafts. I've only taken advantage of its offerings a few times, but I should more often... I could go on and on... For those into spirits, their prices and variety are hard to beat, considering the beer selection under the same roof... Their snack section is something I don't pilfer enough either. Waffle House be clouding my mind...

Renowned far and wide for its vast selection and quirky outward appearance, this little gem sets just a block of I-95 near the MD/DEL border which makes it super easy to find. It can be a quick trip, but once inside you will be tempted to wander around and spend a lot of money (even though the prices are reasonable). Equally large wine selection if there's a need. Got a reminder of my fondness for this place on a recent visit when aisles of imports beckoned while domestic crafts screamed for attention. Have yet to meet a disinterested or unfriendly associate. Anyone can find a quibble here or there, but overall one of the best shops around.

This place is second to none. The service is great, and you can get a single of anything they have. Better yet, go on Wednesday and that single will be 20% off. The only reason I gave a 4.75 instead of 5 for selection is because they have a lot of old beer that needs to be weeded through. However, I've never been to a beer store with such a wide variety of beers.

Incredible selection, and great service from this store conveniently off I-95. They allow single bottle sales (big win). Love the selection, and the service is top-notch. I suggest you check dates, but other than that its a gold mine of options.

Every 2nd week of May, I make a beer run to this place from south PA, and wind up drinking the beer that I bought there all summer long. Great place to buy beer, and in my travels only Binny's in Chicago or the Liquor Barns in Kentucky even come close to their vast selections. Staff is knowledgeable, willing to help you look for specific beers and engages the customers very professionally, especially at the growler fill station in the back. Very permissive policy about mixing single beers and Boulevard, St. Somewhere and Nebraska breweries well represented here. A truly remarkable store.

Easily one of the best selection in any beer store in the country. This also brings the problem that it is also a beer graveyard. I'd recommend always checking dates, because there is a plethora of expired beer on the shelves. A few staff members are friendly, but overall it is just young kids running around hoping to avoid you. Really the best aspect of the store is that you can take a single of any beer that you want.

This place touts on the sign outside that it is one of the three best beer stores in the USA. If that is the case then the USA needs some better beer stores. This place is good and has a ton of selection, but it could be way better.

A hop and a skip off route 95, this is THE place for beer. You can buy singles, 6ers, bombers, whatever you desire. They have a growler fill station with 20+ taps ( most rotating). They have 'tap socials' each week, where brewers from a vast area come in and do meet-n-greets. Want to buy a glass from your favorite brewery? They sell those too (my wife and I have too many already!)

I have never visited the store without multiple store personnel asking me if I need any help. The store is huge inside, and one of the things I like is, its not too brightly lit up. Most of the beer is rotated quite well, but as with any store, check the dates. The holy grail of liquor stores, it's both a blessing and a curse for me, because I always spend too much.

Driving by on the highway I’d never have given this place a second look – it looks like a distributor of cheap AALs with maybe some bread, jerky, and cigarettes as the bulk of the ales. Fortunately, I’d read the reviews and was fairly twitching on my first trip there.
The parking lot was more than adequate. Upon entering the store itself, the twitching intensified – to my right were several rows of liquor but ahead was beer, stacks of beer, rows of beer, coolers of beer! And the best part was any beer you could see, you could buy as singles! Well, maybe not if it was in a brewer’s gift pack, but I didn’t ask so I still don’t know. On my third trip there, I actually got past the stacks, rows, and coolers of beer to find the growler station and the shelf of glassware.
They have knowledgeable staff who are willing to help you find things and actually know something about beer. They will check backroom stock for you and will order alcohol if they are out of what you want. This is the only place I can reliably find Vecchio Amaro del Capo, a favorite Italian liqueur, and they have ordered it for me when I call ahead.
Got three cases of singles and are worried about getting them to your car? No problem! One of the beer people will grab a hand truck and take them to your car and load them.
They have a large selection of wine but I don’t know anything about wine.
They also have a small selection of sauces/relishes/cheeses but I don’t know enough about them to comment.
Price! I haven’t talked about price. It’s very competitive and there are no distinct rip offs.
There are only two problems I have ever encountered on my visits. One is that some of the beer may be old – watch dates when you can, particularly on imports. The other is the selection is so overwhelming it’s very easy to drop several hundred dollars, even as member of their beer club with the 15% discount.

Stateline is a hike from where I live. However when I get down to the area to visit family and friends this is a must stop shop for me. Not only do they have the largest selection of craft beers I have ever seen but they also have somewhere around 30 beers on tap. It doesn't stop there! Not only do they allow the typical 64oz growlers but you can get 32oz growler if you'd like. Stateline also does different tastings and events around beer (wine and liquor to). If you ever get a chance, make sure you check this place out, you won't regret it!

Holy crap this is a good store. Made the stop on a CD to NY trip. Crazy selection of foreign and domestic. Living in the UK, I can say the British beer selection is better than anything I've ever seen in the UK...including rare stuff I've never seen on the shelves here. Its got that crappy warehouse/gas station feel, so I've got to ding them. Overall, beer paradise

From the outside, you might think you have reached the wrong place - but do not be fooled, this is THE beer Mecca on the entire Southeast coastline. Their selection and employee knowledge stands alone among beer stores. The staff is VERY knowledgeable and friendly. They also have added an outstanding growler selection in the back where they also host multiple events.

If you are within a 100 mile radius of Elkton, MD, do yourself a favor and stop in.

Granted, I've only been actively seeking out quality craft beer stores for the past 6 months or so but this is hands down the best place I've been. Vibe is warehouse-esque, nothing special but it's very clean and well-lit. and of course having the various taps in the back helps. Both the quality of the beer offered and variety of selection is excellent and beyond anything I've seen on the East Coast so far (without a doubt in MD). The staff was very helpful and friendly, explaining to me how their build-your-own 6-pack policy works, etc. You can build a 6-pack from any beer in the store, it's awesome.

I am about 1 1/2 hours from State Line Liquors and it's absolutely worth the weekend trip.

The place is easy accessible from I-95 and there is always a great selection of beers! I would highly recommend it if one is making a long trip and needs to stock up on beer.

Revisited 2/25/18

On the way to Monk's Cafe in Philly I dropped in and I was very impressed with their selection of beer both domestic (including a very good selection of regional beers, i.e. Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania) and international, they have really turned it up a notch. I will be making this a regular stop

Stopped in on the way home from the beach (it's about 5 minutes out of your way if you're on I-95). Thought I'd just check it out. Right.

The guy at the cash register said they were voted the #3 bottle shop in the US. I believe it. It's like a theme park with world-class beer. More than 3000 different beers. 25 beers on tap. I was totally stunned.

I wandered about and filled a 6-pack (rather randomly):
Clown Shoes Galactica
Mikkelsen Better Half (they have a HUGE selection of European beers)
DuClaw Mosaic Hop Continuum #2
Weyerbacher Heresy
Weyerbacher Old Heathen
Sierra Nevada Bigfoot

...and grabbed a 4-pack of Oscar Blues G'Knight for good measure.

Everything is available as a single if you want variety. Staff is friendly, polite and knowledgeable. Selection is, in my experience, unparalleled.

Note to self: do some homework ahead of time, or you'll never make it to the beach!

Very friendly staff as well. Mildly knock is that some of the bottles were dated a bit, so I would definitely recommend checking dates prior to purchasing any hoppy beers.

The only reason it doesn't get 5's across the board is the appearance of the building and some old beer, especially in the imports. Check the dates.

The selection is world class. If it is available in Maryland it looks like they have it. The employees are very nice and helpful. They even loaded my trunk up for me which was a nice bonus. The growler station is also large and diverse.

I live in Dover, DE and I will be be visiting monthly. I am willing to drive round trip 100 miles, pay tolls and sales tax to shop here.
