Appearance - gold in color, good clarity, and good lacing. Smell - slight bready and slight hops. Taste - really smooth. Solid all across the board. Definitely refreshing. Overall - nice solid beer and if I ever see it on tap, I might have to try that. First time having this beer, but won't be the last.

I purchased a four pack of cans from a Cellar 70 in Wausau, WI. Carlsberg pours a golden hue with a one fingered head that dissipates into a nice lacing. The aroma is sweet with hints of a bread like malt present. The flavor starts out sweet and finishes dry with a slight bitterness and a taste of bread. I was actually really surprised at how much I liked this.

Another new beer I have been wanting to sample.

Opened the bottle and took a deep smell. Nice. Actually smelled like beer, not floral or citrus or any of that other crap.

First sip revealed a good, strong and tasty beer flavor. Some hops, but the malt balances it pretty well. I have no tolerance for hops, so any little bit extra may as well be a truckload to me. This reminds me of Krombacher (a very good German beer which Georgia's stupid distributor laws do not allow to be sold in GA) and of Weihenstephaner (wow, GA actually allows a German beer to be sold without bowing low and long to Sweetwater) because of the good mix of malt and hops without too much hops. A very good beer to drink and enjoy.

Want to know about the foam lacing or the bready aftertaste? Go to www.beeridiots.com. I have no need of knowing the foam lacing, etc.. I want a beer that tastes good without all the buckets of hops. This beer offers that. Good taste, good flavor, good mix of hops and malts and a satisfied customer in me.

Thanks.

From notes taken 05/11/16:

Clear, straw gold with foamy, light but thick, yellowed whitish head of moderate to great retention and decent lacing. Sweet but weak grain, honey, and light banana-ester nose. Slightly skunky palate, but green bottle so no surprise there. Sweet adjuncty grain, but also surprisingly toasty grain in the background. Very honey-like, with light floral hopping coming out toward crisp finish. Medium-bodied, watery to creamy, tingly to sloshy to sudsy. Too cloying to come across as refreshing. Not enough dry bitterness or lemony zestiness for the style.

An old favorite. Kind of like Stella Artois, but maybe a little bit better. Good Pilsner flavor. Here goes:

A: Clear yellow with plenty of body carbonation. Also pours a good head, but one that readily dissipates and leaves little lacing.

S: Straw, lemon, wheat, and crackery bread. Good Pilsner.

T: Follows the nose, which is good. Floral and lemony.

F: Great. Nice and light. Perfect Pilsner mouthfeel.

O: A good beer. For its style, it's quite lovely.

Bright pale straw color with lots of pearly activity. Slightly foamy white 2 finger head, lasting less than 5 minutes, with faint lacing. Flavors of sweet grains, barley, corn, faint lemon and noble hops. Lots of sweetness, a little crispy but faint sharpness. Slick light body with prickly carbonation. Light finish, lingering malts and sugars, very faint grassy hops and skunk. Feel of alcohol lowering the freshness. Quite watery and bland. Lacking some sharpness and hops. Overall bad quality craft.

A very middle of the road beer. There's not a whole lot going on smell or flavor wise. It's drinkable but I doubt i'll ever buy it again with so many better beers out there.

Look - slight yellow, pale gold, very translucent, foamy head, excellent lacing.

Smell - Floral, sour fruit, fresh bread. All very mild.

Taste - Subtle, refreshing, balanced. Not huge flavors, but pleasant ones.

Feel - Bubbly, fresh, wet, watery.

Overall a nice refreshing beer in this style. Seemingly high quality ingredients. The buzz is steadying and forgiving. I prefer to have a few before reviewing. The way the beer makes one feel is just as, if not more, important than any other requisite. Flavors here are subtle and pleasing, slight hop balanced with slight malt. Bubbles abounding and clean water present. Great when you're having more than one. This is undoubtably; good beer.

Have not had this for a long time, since I was young. Trying as an experiment..!

Quite creamy head, good level, though goes down fast and standard euro lager colour. Aroma is not the best, a bit chemically.

Taste is seriously week. No hops really. Tastes almost like water.

Less nice than Heineken, which I think was my previous lowest rated beer. It is unadventurous, boring, watered down mass-produced and designed to appeal to the same kind of people.

For me this could be saved if it had more hops flavour. However it is seriously tasteless. Would not have again, even if free

Carlsberg, I've never been much of a pilsner fan, but I can have a six-pack of that nonetheless... almost no head, not that great a feel, smell or look. But it doesn't taste too bad and refreshing in summer. An okay beer.

Poured from a 500 ml can.

A= Clear, straw gold. Almost no head - only a 1/2 inch layer of foam that disappeared after less than 30 seconds. Lacing only lasted a few seconds.
S - skunky, graddy.
T - modest, grassy hops, medium dry, low bitterness, no sweetness.
F - average, low to moderate carbonation. Light bodied.
O - neutral, not impressive. Likely won't try again.

This Danish beer was fantastic, once I learned that you should not drink it ice cold. It needs to be slightly chilled for it to be enjoyed. This beer makes me want to try more Danish beers.

I bought three 1 pint Carlesburg beers in cans from my local grocery store and poured them incrementally into a 2 pint jar. People reviewed this this beer and said the scent was skunky. My first impression was indeed until I poured into the jar after which point my perception changed and I found it fresh, hoppy and sweet, not a strong malt smell like Bodingtons definitively. It's present for sure, but underlies the prevous scents. The taste is crisp, grainy and satiating. It's a bear that is quite satisfying when having consumpted three to four pints. Great for drinking after having eaten litely i.e. snack foods, horsdoeuvres, perhaps a bau if you are in New York. Look is an appeasing fair gold.

This is first review I have done. It has a bit of skunky smell when first opened. Taste was good not great but nice, later I noticed a sweetness to it. Overall it was a nice middle of the road beer. I would buy this one again.

Sampling right now on 3/6/16 but had it before BUT it has been along time actually and never did a review on it. Comes in a pretty emerald-green 330ml (11.2 ounce) embossed bottle. Bottle chilled down to 36 degrees F in my beer cooler and poured in to a flute glass.

Brew pours a slight hazy golden in color with about a half-finger+ white head. LOTS of lacing is seen when sipped that stuck to the sides of the glass. Now for MOST brews in a green bottle, they have the typical 'skunky' aroma BUT not this one. Aroma is of some sweet malts and maybe some light hops. taste pretty much follows the nose ans goes down easy with no bitterness at all. Forgot how much I liked this one actually and I like it better than a regular "Heineken" also which has that 'skunky' smell. Lighter-side of medium bodied with decent carbonation. Overall a good brew.

Poured to glass from 33 cl bottle in Istanbul. While i wouldn't call this beer awful, it has an overpowering metallic aftertaste which ruins the refreshing attribute of this style. Besides that it has a clean taste and about what you would expect from a macro lager.

1/18/16 Chicago - (Two 20 oz pours at Vaughn's Northwest via Carlsberg wave glass). Clear blonde pour, heavy carbonation, slight white head. Light aroma and taste of mild hops. Smooth going down. Decent mega brewed beer.

Just finished a Bud Light Platinum before this. Compared to the BL this is almost flavorless.
Clear gold with a three finger three minute head that left a few rings of lace.
Smell is faintly skunky some bready malts.
Taste is very modest. No bad flavors here just not much. Some very mild herbal or grassy hops. Most of the flavor comes from the malt which isn't bold either.
Mouthfeel is average with good carbonation but pretty light bodied.
Overall a nice neutral but middle of the road beer. I wouldn't turn it down on a warm day but I can think of many other beers that I would rather have.

This beer is readily available in China as it appeals to the lighter beer drinkers here. I'm not really a big fan of it, but it's not horrible by any means. I enjoy the flavor for what it is, but it's just such a light beer...I suppose that is who they appeal to, however.

This is probably one of the best commonly available cheaper beers.

Not too bad but definitely not the best. You definitely get your money's worth, and the fact that it's very common (at least in my country) and also comes in 630ml bottles is a plus. The flavour itself is not half bad. Nice golden colour, very nice foamy head. This can be considered your average beer.

Great for a pint at the bar, and overall an alright lager. I'd personally prefer something like Harp, or even (and this is just my taste) a Heineken, but as it would go in pubs and bars sometimes, beggars can't be choosers.

Bright golden color with a thick head with decent retention and leaving laces.
Light aroma with predominant notes of bread sweetness and hints of hops freshness.
Sweet flavor with notes of concentrate of herbal and floral hops, grainy malt sweetness and metal. Medium dry aftertaste with a low bitterness.
Light body with good carbonation.
Easy to drink and assertive European mass Lager, no excitements though. Standard.

Drank this in Poland on 7/19, from notes. The GF's grandfather had a .5L bottle that we split into pint glasses. Poured that typical clear bright gold with a big head that dissapated fast. Smelled of sweet pilsner malt, no hint of hops. Carries over the flavor, this is more of a euro lager than a German Pilsner. Sweet malt with just a hint of bitterness, neutral mouthfeel and refreshing carbonation. Easy to drink but wholly unremarkable.

This is not really a German-style pilsner. It is not supposed to be. It is a Scandinavian style. The best taste is what is found in Denmark. Straight from the brewery and not jacked up for travel. Great go to on a hot summer day or at the beach.

This beer does not taste like original. In Australia carbon dioxidation is different than in Europe and water is different. It will never be like a original. but it's still drinkable.
