Poured from bottle into a pint glass

Appearance – The beer pours a clear golden color with a small white head of a more fizzy nature. There are tons of carbonation bubbles seen streaming up through the body of the brew popping at the surface as the head of the beer fades fast to leave very little lacing on the sides of the glass.

Smell – The aroma is on the lighter side overall but is of a mainly grainy and malty in smell. Mixed with these smells is a little bit of grass, hay and lemon as well.

Taste – The taste begins with a smooth bready malt taste mixed with a bit of a caramel sweetness. As the taste advances a little bit of grassiness begins developing on the tongue. The grassiness grows a bit stronger, which in the end with the malt and the lighter caramel flavors, leaves a crisp and clean taste to linger on the tongue.

Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the slightly thinner side with a carbonation level that is rather average. It is pretty much dead on in terms of carbonation and feel for the lighter tastes and smoothness of the brew making it very easy to drink.

Overall – Not a flavor powerhouse by any means, but it is rather refreshing and easy drinking brew.

A - Light golden lager colour, medium amount of bubbles and a nice head which seems to hold up for a while.

S - Nice sweet smell and a little malty.

T - Sweetness of the grain upfront and a slightly dry malty finish.

M - Watery but smooth overall.

O - I prefer Carlsberg over both Heineken and Budweiser. It has a little more flavour going for it and I used to drink this quite a bit before getting into more exotic beers. Best choice for me between the common tap beers over here.

Leftover 330 ml bottle from Canada day six pack. About $2 CDN per bottle. Served cold into a pint glass.

Appearance - crystal clear golden color. Some bubbles and finger of head that dissipates pretty quick. Some decent lacing left over.

Smell - grassy aroma faintly sweet smell.bthe beer is not skunked despite the green bottle.

Taste - crisp slightly bitter taste counterbalanced by a touch of sweetness.

Mouthfeel - well carbonated and slightly prickly mouthfeel.

Overall - definitely a little better than the other euro pale lagers. Pretty good readily accessible and easily accessible.
