Poured from 12oz bottle into a pint glass.

Appearance: pale orange-amber hue with a crystal clarity and a goodly effervescence. Head is a thin finger of frothy ivory foam. Decent.

Smell: nice aroma with plenty of caramel, bread and biscuit. There's also a light fruitiness here with a hint of citrus that works quite well. I actually like it.

Taste: flavor is rather caramelly with a light biscuit component and another hit of that light fruitiness. This is an amber that I actually rather like.

Mouthfeel: a surprisingly heavy and well-integrated carbonation gives this beer a good creaminess despite a somewhat light body. I like it a lot.

Overall: this is a tasty and drinkable amber that I would gladly quaff again. Good stuff.

A-Semi cloudy copper, one finger head that doesn't last.

S-Toasted note, some caramel and toffee, some (not much) fruit notes as well.

T-Poor blend of toast/butter notes, with from fruit. No bitterness to speak of.

M-Light, not much carbonation, slightly watery.

O-A poor beer, a mess. Maybe I got a bad bottle or something but this beer does not have much going for it.

Cloudy pale copper with white film that trails. Apples and butter on the nose.
Pear drops, a butterscotch hit, and branchy (English?) hops.
Crisp, soft, light to medium.

A diacetyl bomb, and too fruity on top of that. Not to alt style, but not sure what this is trying to do.

A messy hybrid.

A: Tawny yet light copper with a bit of haze. A few random bubbles rise to the small off-white head. It keeps a ring of foam and leaves an okay amount of lace.

S: Citrus, floral/herbal, barest hint of spicy hops. Some bright fruity esters. Background, lightly toasty pale malt. Smells good, but I want more umph.

T: Balanced, but leaning to the hops. Fruity citrus of orange & tangerine up front, floral/herbal/spicy in the middle, end is lingering citrus & herbal which gets increasingly woody as the finish continues. Lots of light, bright, juicy esters are mingled with the hops. Toasty pale malts provide a good platform for the hops show, and just a hint of sweetness. Quite a nice showcase of hops and nice fruity esters.

M: Just medium budy but still with a hint of chew. Lightly balanced carbonation. Bright & refreshing – leaning to crisp – yet only semi-drying finish.

D: Nice juicy-fruity citrus – both from hops and esters. Rather more pale and amber. Lighter body, loads of citrus hops, mild malts, and all the light & fruity esters. Regardless of style, it is a very nice, characterful, tasty, and drinkable beer.

Nearly no head. Mild chill haze to the otherwise solidly amber color.

Some earthiness to the aroma with a mild floral hop in the background.

The flavor is an improvement from the smell. There's a light sweetness that went unnoticed to the nose. The hop is also more pronounced, although the swallow and aftertaste leans to the malty side. The body is watery, but the carbonation is below expectations as well.

A: Poured a hazy blood-orange/brown color from a 12oz. bottle into a pint glass. A cute, 1-finger head appeared, with some decent of lacing down the glass.

S: Malty aromas of apple, barley, and a touch of citrus. Not much on the nose, and it smells a bit thin.

T: Sweet up-front, with an oaty, bready middle, and a bright swallow. Thin flavor character, with lots of bread, malt, and nut tastes, with a hint of apples and grapes. It seriously tastes like a lager, not a pale ale. Out of the bottle, this doesn't bring much to the table outside of a tastier session beer alternative.

M: Thin, with a slightly meaty middle, but an overall watery complexion that leaves something to be desired.

O: This beer is a straight-up, middle-of-the-road beer, with more lager flavor than one would expect. On draft, I remember it being much more delicious, but seeing as how the bottle is most readily available, I'm a bit disappointed.

A: Pours a somewhat brilliant copper body with a thin white head that surprisingly leaves some light lacing.

S: Not a strong aroma but a pleasant one. A nice nose of sweet caramel malts, fruity esters, bready notes, and citrus hops.

T: A nice toasted upfront flavor balanced with cracker-like grainy malts, caramel, light hops, and a fruity backbone.

M: Lively carbonation; thin to medium body; clean and crisp texture.

O: A little off for the style and I expected a little more hops. However, this one is very easy to drink letting one put down 4-5 of these in one sitting. Definitely one of my go-to beers there.

EDIT 10/10: Had a fresh fresh bottle from the brewery and it tasted like hops covered in caramel. Amazing! Really good!

Served in a pint glass

A: pours a great golden color that is entirely clear with a very thin head of foam that dissipates quickly
S: nice hoppy notes, earthy tones, slight sweetness
T: great taste, really represents the style well, nice hopiness, slight underlying maltiness
M: smooth across the palate initially with very little carbonation, leaves a slight lingering dryness in the mouth
O: really love this brew, incredibly drinkable, delicious

A: Coppery-amber body with a very small off-white head.

S: Something off - metallic/minerally and maybe some wet cardboard.

T: Some sweet, fruity malt underneath, followed by a metallic hoppy bitterness. Lingering minerally bitterness; a touch earthy.

M: Fairly sharp carbonation. Body is close to medium in heft.

O: OK. Glad to support local brewers.

Notes: Bottle calls it an Amber Ale, though it's listed here as a Pale. . . .

A - Pours a clear amber-orange color with a a finger of white frothy head. The head fades fairly quickly to a ring, but laces okay.

S - Aroma is full of cirrus hops and some sweet fruity aromas. There is also a touch of sweet lightly roasted carmel malts in the background that breaks through.

T - Starts off with some fruit esters and orange peel flavor. Lots of fruit elements here. Through the middle the malt comes through alongside some hop bitterness. The finish has some nice sweet fruit flavors and more of the hop bitterness that linger nicely.

M - Medium to medium-light bodied with moderate carbonation. Very nice and all around crisp beer. Lively on the tongue and very clean finish.

D - Extremely drinkable. The flavor is fairly sweet, but it stays balanced throughout. Feels very nice and crisp and very refreshing.

Visit this pub every summer with the wife when we stop by lake george for our annual summer weekend of relaxation.

Poured a deep golden color with lively carbonation. Very earthy. Overly malty but not in a bad way. Touch sweet. No real notable smell to the brew.

I always look forward to heading north to have a Bear Naked. It's a pretty refreshing brew best in the warmer months, but pretty good all year. It doesn't have the foamiest head, but it's not terrible either. It has a pretty clean, almost cleansing finish so it really pairs well with a variety of foods, it's too bad the brewpub it comes from doesn't have a stronger menu. Its very drinkable. The taste is almost fruity, not terribly hoppy and over all the years it's been very consistent, which gets a big atta-boy because it's such a small batch brew.

Poured a very light copper hue with a one and a half finger foamy white head. There was good retention and lacing.

The smell featured a fresh and vibrant citric hop and a light doughy pale malt.

The taste was upfront breezy citric hops. A light doughy malt and touch of wheat rounded out the flavor.

The mouthfeel was typical of the style. Perhaps a bit cleaner due to the inclusion of the wheat malt.

Overall a very tasty hop forward ale. Very quaffable.

A- A gentle pour from the growler yielded a thin white head, which quickly dissipated. No apparent lacing. The body was a medium amber color with no visible carbonation.

S- The nose is packed with crackerlike pale malt... with hints of dried fruit and nuts... and just a trace of low-alpha hop aroma.

T- The taste is a near-perfect replicate of the nose... just a bit more fruity with ale yeast esters, and some additional burnt candy sugar flavor.

M- Medium body with lots of soft carbonation... with a slightly grainy texture from the unattenuated sugar.

D- Very sessionable. Refeshing, delicious and well-balanced. Too bad I don't live in NY- It may be quite some time before I have the pleasure of sampling this again!!
