Head to the Adirondack pub and brewery every summer when the wife and I visit lake george. This past summer had the pleasure of trying several new brews. This was one.

Poured a foggy golden color. Had a nice wheaty earthy smell. Soft, wheaty taste as well. Smooth and juicelike in feel. Cotton candy-like sweetness. Worth a try for sure.

Served in a pint glass at the Adirondack Pub and Brewery

A- Appearance was that of a fine, tasty hefeweizen. Golden, cloudy, hazy with a pillowy eggshell head. Sadly, this is where it stopped

S- Grass, beer, smelled like a wheat beer, but nothing stood out

T- Very bland with absolutely no complex flavors or even any subtle nuances. There were no fruity yeast flavors. It just tasted like a bland, plain wheat beer, like a commercially produced American Pale Wheat

M- Mouthfeel was ok, it went with the style. Slightly less carbonated than an American macro adjunct pilsner, but more smoother. not more drinkable though. I couldn't and wouldn't drink more than one.

O- I feel that this was a sad excuse for a hefeweizen and the beer doesn't even deserve to be called that. There weren't any fruity yeast flavors or any of the things that make a good hefeweizen stand out. I have tried many hefes from brewpubs before and have had some real zingers that express the style with very unique and bold flavor profiles. This simply was a disappointment for me. I don't recommend.
