Style: American-style Belgian Tripel
ABV: 9.0
IBU: 34
Note: This must be a reformulation. It used to be 8.00 ABV, 45 IBU
Purchase container: 12 oz (355 ml) bottle from Adk Brewer's Fantasy Variety Pack
Serving container: Weizen glass
Appearance: Unfiltered hazy medium amber with lots of floaties, thin short-lasting off-white head, moderate to sparse lacing
Aroma: Complex combination of malts, spices
Taste/Flavor: Very complex flavors: Syrupy sweet but not cloying, with faint hints of banana. Well-balanced between hops and malts. Alcohol is well hidden.
Mouthfeel: Light body, somewhat fizzy carbonation, sweet slightly dry finish
Overall: This is an excellent beer, a somewhat unusual style, not for the faint-hearted. BEWARE the very high ABV; this is a sipping beer. Be careful with it, otherwise it will knock your socks off

Head formed on pour but did not last and ended up with none at all and no lacing. It looks like a flat beer at this point, no carbonation bubbles either. Doesn't smell or feel flat though. I get the spice and fruit in the smell. Light taste and feel. Maybe ripe banana and cardamom spice in taste. Alcohol hidden well. Sweet but not cloying. A bit fizzy prickle in feel. Nice easy drinking overall.

The beer comes in light amber color.
The aroma offers caramel and syrupy sweetness, banana, spicy hops.
The flavor follows with banana, medium syrupy sweetness, a pop of alcohol, prickly carbonation. A surprisingly decent tripel.

Received this one as a gift from a generous BA thanks! Cool upside down label error on my bottle!
Appearance: Pours a murky caramel to tawny auburn with honey folds. The crown is small, dull white, shows little retention and moderate lace.
Smell: Oak, herbal hops, citrus hops, citrus zest, mild whiskey notes, and a hint of caramel / candi syrup.
Taste: Same as the nose.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with prickly carbonation.
Overall: An interesting brew that could use some refinement. The oak, booze, and prickly carbonation kind of work together but overall the beer seems disjointed.
