We got a couple of cans in honor of Oktoberfest. A cut above Windhoek Draught, but not worth the food miles. I do like the mouthfeel, and would go to this if it were local.

Ample and frothy, white head. Pale golden straw color. Faint, aged and toasted, light barley malt aroma. Rather plain and light level of light toast malt and a whiff of herbal hops and touch of yeastiness, for the flavor. A light body and basic lager finish, which is short.

Never had this one before...apparently it's an original style from Germany, so I guess a Dortmunder must be different from a pils, though I am not an expert ; )
Bottle is a little on the boring side.
Quite pale colour...light head with small bubbles.
Beautiful heavenly aroma...difficult to describe but I really like it. Sweet like honey and a little flowery with a German bitter hop pilsner finish.
Taste is a little light and watery, especially after just having a Radeberger. Hoppiness is super subtle. It's not flat like some pilsners, it's definitely alive and has a fairly good mouthfeel. It's labelled as an export, which as always makes no sense to me...exports are usually marketed to be better, but why would anyone want to send their best beer abroad, when you can drink it yourself in your own city..?
Too light and simple for me...and boring bottle design ; ) Maybe good when it is 43 centigrade outside, but overall I'm not a fan. Dab also apparently means "dab can be a highly concentrated marijuana extract, a type of hip-hop dance, or touching the ground with your foot while you ride a bicycle."
I think I shall stick with these dabs ; )

Pours a nearly transparent straw colour with two fingers of weak head that recede within minutes and leave no lacing. The nose is dominated by corn and grainy malt, and the taste follows. The alcohol is quite noticeable but not terribly obtrusive. There is a subtle and somewhat weak hops presence on the back end. I'm not saying for sure there's corn in this, but it sure tastes and smells like it. It gets a bit rough to drink as it warms up, the alcohol becomes more noticeable, and it starts to leave a weird feeling in the mouth and throat. Overall not a good beer, especially compared to other German Maibocks. Give this one a swerve.

Canned 8/19/21 (but best before 11/19/22?); drank 6/5/22 @ the Yarchives.
See-through dull yellow appearance.
An even pour yielded a huge off-white head; strong lace.
Sweet corn & caramel notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Corn & caramel flavors; it's drinkable, but not real memorable.
Not one I'll return to.

I don't really get the downvoting on this. It's definitely a bit grainy and maybe a bit basic, but it definitely does what it says on the can. I mean this is rated only a little bit better than Stella Artois (which seems like a good Belgian comparison) but this mass produced beer is miles better! Super easy drinking, and doesn't get syrupy as it warms up, and there's a decent malty taste with admittedly quite slight hop bite at the end. I guess it suffers a bit in comparison with other very good German beers, but it's better than OK!

Overly sweet, corn syrupy soapy bad lager. Like a really low quality lager. Awful. There are dozens of better beers out there for the price.

Nice clean tasting beer. Not outstanding but a good Dortmunder. It is just what it is supposed to be, a light clean crisp beer. I wish this style was more common and easier to find than it is.

Nice gold colour, clear but lifeless. Corny and adjunct-like on the nose. The taste adds a bit of vibrancy but not too much. Still corny and bready. Not bad, not great

330ml bottle into a pint glass. Bottled 10/26/20, best by 1/26/22. 11 months old.
Looks decent in the glass. Glassy pale golden yellow body. Small white head shrinks to a ring and faint covering, no lacing.
Kind of a odd slightly musty aroma.
On tasting, quite clean, a little sweet, featherlight hop note towards the end.
Mouth medium, finish light.
Overall, not as much muscle as some US brewed Dortmunders, but it's fairly clean, easy drinking, and refreshing.

Pours a dark gold. Smells of bread and honey. Taste follows suit with the addition of a crisp grassiness and some more sweet malt and honey like sweetness. Feel is crisp and sharp. Very refreshing but basic.

Pours a clear amber with a light orange tint. Three finger head, lots of foam and fizz. Smell had floral notes but also quite metallic, which was a turnoff. Taste is malt-forward with undertones of bitter hops and a touch of fruity notes. Sharp and fizzy in the mouth but feels tight, it doesn’t wander or linger afterward. Good beer, would definitely have again.

poured from a 500mL can into a tall hofbrau münchen glass. pours straw gold with a two finger white foam head. clean lager aromas although it does possess some qualities normally found in cheaper beer. it’s a bit more bland and little less crispy than some of the usuals i keep around (warsteiner, peroni, grolsch) but it’s still easy drinking and comes at a good price.

This was a very bland and boring beer. Watery, sweet, virtually no carbonation. No bite or crispness. And for $6.99 for a 4 pack of 16.9 oz cans it was overpriced.

Poured from a 16oz can.
Nice two-finger heads easily poured into stem glass. Strong lacing on the glass. Color is yellowish and clear.
Aroma is grassy and light.
Taste of mild open grass fields with light maltiness in the background.
Mouthfeel is nice- crisp, then mellow, and slightly dry finish.
Overall, a very pleasing dortmunder style lager that is clean, easy-drinking, and satisfying in the end. I am glad I picked this up and gave it a try.
