A: The beer is slightly hazy pale yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that died down, leaving some specks of bubbles on the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of bananas are present in the nose along with some hints of cloves.
T: The taste follows the smell, having lots of flavors of bananas with notes of wheat and hints of cloves.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This hefeweizen has a strong dose of bananas in both the smell and taste. It's a good representation of the style.

Cloudy gold colored beer, no way can you see through this one. Small white head.

Smell is sweet with about equal amounts of both clove and banana in the scent. Lesser scent of cinnamon and bruised banana.

Starts out sweet with a strong clove and banana ice cream flavor. Milder flavor than the smell, it starts out clove and finishes banana and bubblegum with every taste.

Mouthfeel is good.

Good drinkability, it is a little on the mild side but I could see drinking this all day in the summer.

This pours a hazy, glowing yellow/gold. Bubbles rise quickly forming a strong, semi-dense head. Citrus and corriander exude from the glass. Spicey and crisp.
Not a complex flavor, but very nice. Citrus and corriander follow from the nose and hit the palate with a crips splash. A bit sweet, like a watery lemondrop. Good yeast and biscuit tones mixed in.
Again, crisp and refreshing. A nice beer drank in the winter, but should have been sampled in the summer.

Not a style I go to often but for something to put down after work with a little substance this does the trick. My first Austrian weisse beer that I have had to my knowledge, this pours into a large weisse/weizen glass a mix of lemonade and tea with a smaller than expected head that was gone quite quickly. As others have noted lemon is the dominant aroma with some iron and slight clove as well.Flavors are somewhat clean for the style but damn refreshing, lemony with underlying clove and a hint of vanilla but its light on the palate. Now if this was the middle of July here in NC instead of October this would be a helluva backyard beer,as is its a nice thirst quencher.

A: Light yellow in color with a slight haze. Pours with a huge foamy head that quickly reduces to nothing, not even a slight surface coating. No lacing.

S: Some light biscuit malt and faint banana. Not much going on here.

T: Light malt and some light banana flavors, though the banana becomes more pronounced as the beer warms. Also a little sweet (honey) and sour (lemon) interplay. Interesting, but thankfully the flavors are on the softer side.

M: Thin with medium carbonation.

D: A decent hefeweizen, on the lighter side for the style, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. Beer does show more character as it warms.

Single bottle just copped from Gary's in Madison for $1.39...
Unspectacular, average-at-best pour for a Hefeweizen, resulting in a murky, medium-orange, tinted hue with absolutely no head nor lacing...
Faint, citrus-like, sweet, nectarine aroma...
Ultra-sweet, flavorul, yet light-bodied flavor combining elements of sweet grapefruit, oranges, tangerines, candied sugars, and honey along with a citrus-like zest...
Drinkability was good due to the low ABV and lack of cloying flavors...
Not bad, but certainly nothing above and beyond...

Into a wiezen glass, pours a deep, cloudy golden yellow with a real nice head receding to film and has sweet splotchy, slowly receding lacing, very nice. Aroma is classic wiezen, very nice banana esters that feel a little musty due to wheaty tones, cloves and spices present but subtle. Taste lacks a punch, but the essentials are there. Good banana, wheat, a twinge of tang and some spice, very subtle. Mouth is a little meh, some nice carbonation, but the body isn't full enough to support it, vexes me so. I really want this to be really good, but it just falls short. Glad i picked it up, would reccomend another to try it, but not more.

Mid sized German style bottle, w/o freshness info. Pours clouded medium tangarine, under a medium off white head, just a smudge and another smidge of lace on the glass.

Bananas, oranges and wheaty goodness in the nose.

More bananas, mild orange and a hint of clove carry the freight, thoroughly enjoyable wheat. Mild, smooth and moderatly flavorful. Decent levels of carbonation and body, easy drinking nothing unbelievable but worth a try

I poured this 11.2 oz. bottle into a wheat glass.

A: cloudy, honey-yellow gold color, an aggressive pour produced a small, whitish head with virtually no cap and decent lacing.

S: clove, some sulfur, banana, bubblegum, honey, floral yeast funk.

T: sweet, bread-like yeast, bubblegum, banana, clove.

M: light-bodied, silky, abundant carbonation.

D: a simple and tasty hefeweizen, and one I would seek out again.

Pint poured at Local Options in Chicago, from memory

A - light yellow, slight white head, minor lacing

S - Slight malts, banana and cloves

T - Very nicely balanced beer, banana and clove is not over the top, very subtle, slight malts

M - Medium bodied, mild carbonation.

D - A very nice beer, could drink multiples of this and not get tired of it.

A: Poured from a bottle to a weizen glass. Had a yellowish-brown color and a cloudy consistency. A decent amount of sediment. Not as much head or lacing as you might find with other beers of the style.

S: Smelled of wheat, banana and that bubble gum quality.

T: Like the smell, taste consisted of wheat, banana and bubble in the finish. Good, but not great.

M: Pretty well carbonated beer with a very dry finish. Medium-bodied.

D: While this is a solid beer, it doesn't distinguish itself from other hefeweizens. Still, a drinkable beer.

A: Nice looking pour, golden with great head that laces glass and retains nicely.

S: Not the strongest example of a hefe with its smell. You get the citrus and earthy tones.

T: Same as scent. Good, but not the best example. Has nice citrus and wheat tastes.

M: Flows down nicely with good carbonation. Good aftertaste as well.

D: For the price this is a solid Hefe when comparing it to a beer like Blue Moon. This does not compete with the great Hefes though.
