Our downtown Charleston version of a wheat India Pale Ale has a generous and inviting head that releases a sneak peek to the complexity beneath. Now, close your eyes and inhale the flora of Chinook hops which introduce you to the unique aroma of confederate jasmine, followed by subtle wafts of citrus and flowers provided by the Citra hops.

Old school bitterness, new world hops, a clever grain bill and hints of flowery fruit- Palmetto Brewing is enjoying an IPA that borrows pieces and parts from various IPA making techniques for a uniquely bitter beer.
Hazy and burnish gold, Huger St. hinges on burnt orange and amber as it builds a frothy eggshell cap along with a fruity, floral and herbal perfume to waft about the nose. With a maltier tone at the session's start, a soft breadiness seems slightly doughy but still of caramel, honey and overall granola.
As the sweetness relaxes once on the middle palate, the hops abound with a juicy and radiant taste of orange, mango and apricot. As hints of red grapefruit, pineapple and citrus peel add more of a juicy perfume, the taste quickly turns bitter with pine, strong tea, peppery grasses and herbs as the taste concludes.
Medium bodied and finishing decidedly on the side of bitterness, the ale holds onto a moderate bready sweetness to keep the bitterness supported and to provide a sense of balance. An aftertaste of stone fruit and hints of British marmalade lasts into a medium long linger.

Above average beer I would say. Color was a dark copper color with an off white head. Nose was slightly piney. Taste was citrus and pine. Had a white pepperish finish. Good beer

Poured from a 12 ounce can into a glass. Clear/amber in color. Very little aroma that I could tell. Good head of foam and some lacing. Brewed in New Orleans these days. Not that I'm complaining.

An average tasting IPA, the price and the alc/vol is decent though. It’s readily available in my area, so I’ll probably have more in the future, but it’s nothing to write home about.

On tap in a pint glass.
See through copper color, 1f white cap that holds to a thick film and leaves foamy lacing.
Turbocharged bubble action.
Floral, mild citrus, and light toasty caramel aromas.
Citrus soaked caramel malt flavor. Slightly earthy. Malt driven.
Smooth medium body with a mild sweetness and hop bitterness. Caramel finish.
Classic American IPA, west coast style.
