Notes:
Our downtown Charleston version of a wheat India Pale Ale has a generous and inviting head that releases a sneak peek to the complexity beneath. Now, close your eyes and inhale the flora of Chinook hops which introduce you to the unique aroma of confederate jasmine, followed by subtle wafts of citrus and flowers provided by the Citra hops.

On tap in a pint glass.
See through copper color, 1f white cap that holds to a thick film and leaves foamy lacing.
Turbocharged bubble action.
Floral, mild citrus, and light toasty caramel aromas.
Citrus soaked caramel malt flavor. Slightly earthy. Malt driven.
Smooth medium body with a mild sweetness and hop bitterness. Caramel finish.
Classic American IPA, west coast style.

The beer is mildly hazy with a yellow-amber hue. The fluffy head is off-white and sticks around to form a nice lace. It smells very hoppy: citrusy, piney, and dank. I am big fan of the aroma from this beer. The blend together well on the base of the sweet malt. The taste is sweet at first and gives way to bitter hops rather well with with dank citrus being a bridge between the sweet and bitter. The feel isn't the selling point of the beer. It isn't watery but it doesn't really stand out. Overall, this good IPA.

12 oz can served in pint glass. Can date code of 129-19??? A friend picked it up whilst in the area so would say it is relatively fresh.
Pours a hazy golden color, small white head that disappears quickly into a ring around glass; good lacing.
Pine and modest earthy and citrus notes. Taste is crisp with a nice but not overly bitter finish.
Medium carbonation. A bit of a lingering alcohol taste, doesn’t quite hide the abv as well as others I’ve had in the low 7s. Not sessionable by any means but it’s a good change of pace IPA. Overall it’s a solid beer, if I’m ever in the area I’d love to check out the brewery and try some of their stuff on draft!

Perfect IPA color and lacing in cold pint from tap. Sneaky gravity too. Plus it's available everywhere in SC!

A: The beer is slightly hazy amber yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation along with some fine particulates floating in suspension. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that left lots of lacing covering the surface and the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of piney and citrusy hops are present in the nose.
T: The taste has lots of flavors of spicy hops with notes of pine and hints of underlying caramel malts. There is a moderate to high amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and very crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This IPA has a very nice crisp "bite" in its mouthfeel and has a interesting blend of spicy and piney flavors, a throwback flavor profile that you don't normally see in beers in this day and age.

Wheat freshness and copper colored, creamy--yes, creamy--head and mouthfeel. So creamy I thought it was a nitro pour, which was denied by the barkeep. Sturdy 7.2% abv and the Chinook hops give it a decidedly West Coast IPA feel.

Very good IPA at a little over $15 a twelve pack very good value. I would be interested in trying it at the Brewery. Alcohol is 7.2 abv so I'd be careful with consumption. Very easy to drink and I don't notice the higher abv. Would buy it again.

Can date 163-18 suggests June 12 brewing, which is good. Poured into Belgian ale glass.
L: 2+ F head on pour with good retention, leaving lots of sticky lacing and a cap and ring.
S: Pretty earthy and piney and only a bit of grapefruit, orange, and lemon, very much a pre-boom style IPA with little fruit to it.
T: Follows nose, with some citrus, a fair amount of bready maltiness, and a piney, earthy, slightly bitter finish.
F: Light side of moderate body, fairly aggressive carbonation for good drying. Construction and balance are solid. I think the ABV is too high for the construction - while it is not boozy it would drink better in the 5s.
O: Solid old-school IPA. Nothing wrong and a lot right with this.
