The hop flavor and aroma of the truly American Cascade hop distinguishes this beer.

Found this on tap in Luther's, in Beauford. Wanted to try a local beer.
To me, the overall taste and smell was much closer to an IPA than an APA. Strong, but nice enough flavor...but rather hoppy in taste. Coppery in color.
Ok, but glad I got a chance to try it.

Tap to Styrofoam at Rodney Scott Barbeque.

BBQ was awesome. The beer, not so much.

Light, cracker, citrus, rice.

Got this the first time as a new selection..for me...over 20 years ago when visiting my parents beach house in South Carolina. I'm pretty sure this is Palmetto's flagship brew. Loved it then and it is still consistently great. Pours a nice amber/copper color with a decent head. Flavor has evidence of subtle malts with a nice touch of hops. Worth a try for sure!

A little different from the BA description. The label on the bottle is red with a silver silhouette of a Palmetto Palm. The .abv is now 6.20% vice 5,20%. Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass. Bright, hazy orange color with a a good sized white head and bands of lacing on the glass. Aroma is malty (dry biscuity malt) with a little hops bitterness. Taste is primarily dry biscuity malt with a mild citrus hops presence. Mouthfeel is crisp and light with a little hops bite. This is a pretty average APA but is tasty enough and refreshing.

From the bottle, it pours amber with a clear amber with a small head (despite the bottle being a bit warm, as well). Hops in the nose and the mouth enjoys the light bite of the hops and malt. Enjoyable.
