Good IPA. Nothing out of the ordinary but a nice drinking beer that's neither too sweet or bitter. I always have some of their beers in stock at home and at my summer place. Quality beers at rational prices. $9 for a six pack and always easy to find...can't beat that. Try it!

Appearance - Clear orange like color with a nice medium (just less than two fingers) sized head.

Aroma - beautiful malty notes mixed with a touch of floral which settles in the backdrop.

Flavor - taste is just as exceptional as the aroma, and similar with malt flavors making a significant appearance, with an assertive floral bitterness to finish, but the sweet malt combined with that bitterness makes this a truly well balanced beer.

Mouthfeel - slightly a little thin medium light but with a nice moderate carbonation.

Overall - a wonderful combination of hops and malt - certainly a winner for an English IPA style.

Pours a nice light amber color with a nice head and lacing. Aroma had hoppy hints, the taste follows the nose with a nice hoppy flavor. A light bodied well carbonated beer.

Golden color smells really hoppy and tastes very fruity and moderately hoppy. Another beer to add to had to try list. Finishes off moderate but not real smooth

Just like other GLBC beers this recipe has changed. It used to be so bitter it was barely drinkable, now the hops are almost floral and very, very smooth. I don't mind the change but how can the recipe change so much and still keep the same name on the bottle? I get that Great Lakes is trying to appeal to a larger mass audience but it disturbs me how much some of their beers have changed.

I live in Northern KY and Great Lakes Commodore Perry is available just about everywhere. Given that it's so easy to obtain, it is also unfortunately far too easy to take this beer for granted. It ALWAYS satisfies. Look, smell, taste, feel are always sturdy. A total go-to beer and then some. And if that wasn't enough, a six pack is available just about everywhere in Greater Cincy for around $10. If there is a Top 10 'bang for your buck' beer list somewhere, Commodore Perry one has to be #1. And yes, I was between my first and second C.P. today when I wrote this. Cheers!!
