Into a pilsener, it poured a beautiful clear yellow color and gave a darker almost close to orange body. With a big beautiful white two inch head, a lot of nice spider web lacing left some rings around the pilsener. Some carbonation was seen rising, but ever so slowly. The smell was malty with some light corn in the background and a slight breadiness came out as well. The taste brought all of these elements back and gave a slight hoppiness to it. The palate was about a medium with a nice smooth aspect to it. Nothing felt bad on my tongue. Overall, I’m impressed and would have this again.

12 ounce bottle poured into a pint glass

A: Pours a clear light copper color with a big creamy head, lots of lacings and carbonation, decent head retention.

A: Not getting much on the aroma, honey, biscuit, and bready malts, pretty straightforward.

T: Very malty throughout along with slight pepper notes, low citrus hop notes, picking up a lot of grain like notes, lightly toasted grains and hay.

M: Medium/low bodied mouthfeel with a slightly dry finish, good amount of carbonation creates a slightly peppery/spicy mouthfeel.

O: Another well balanced beer from Great Lakes, it's very drinkable and I could see myself enjoying this with grilled steak and potatoes, the flavor grows more robust as it warms, very good but it could use more aroma.

Golden and bubbly with think white top that wafts out nice sweet malts with biscuit and grassy aromas. Taste is surprisingly robust and flavorful for a lighter styled brew. There's a great balance of sweetness from the malt alongside the grassy bitterness of the spicy hops in the backend that's near perfect. Complex taste and great feel aftwards beckon you for more. Brisk and light yet bold and flavorful. Love this Dortmunder.

Great Dortmunder style beer. Always a go to at a restaurant or bar. Nice golden color and aroma with a great mouth feel and finish with no bitterness. Well Done GLBC. Pride of Cleveland.
