Grassy aroma, with a touch of spicy hops. Pours a crystal clear golden with a thin white head. Light bodied, with a touch of malt sweetness, fading to an earthy and spicy hop finish. Very easy drinking, with lots of good hop notes in the finish. Overall a very approachable and solid blonde.

Gold color with a medium to lasting covering white collar that left slight lacing. Smooth mouth feel with slight citrus taste. Slight citrus-type hop aroma.

Can best by 4/24/18. Nonic pint.
A: pours a brassy yellow gold with two fingers of super fluffy white head and carbonation that is just blasting away! Sheets of lacing down the sides of the glass. Head lingers all the way to the end.
S: light hop aroma, but driven mostly by a sweet, bready, grainy malt.
T: not a hoppy beer in the least, but hoppier than the last blonde ale I had. Dry, crackery malt with a pleasant lingering green hop bite. Stemmy. Very approachable, but hops are present. Lacks the “GLBC malt” taste that I find in nearly all of their beers.
M: lighter end of mid-weight, active carbonation, fluffy ale texture, but finishes clean.
O: hands down the best self-described blonde ale I’ve had. I prefer several that bill themselves as”Golden ales” or “American Kölsch-style ales”, but for a straight blonde, this is damn good. This beer is really perfect for these early spring days when the sun is shining and flowers are blooming but it’s still cold and crisp out. I would be interested to try this in hotter weather; it is far hoppier than other blonde ales, which I tend to not like in summer. Glad I tried it; would pick it up again if hosting a BBQ, but not something I am likely to seek out. I wonder how different it was last year, when it was billed as a “Belgian blond?”

I tried this can chilled in a mug.
the color is golden, clear with visibly carbonated appearance and white head with thick retention and lace.
The smell is malt with toasted grain quality and mild mineral/herbal scent.
The feel is good with moderate body and mild bitterness with semi dry finish and low sweetness.
The taste is semi-spicy with hops and malt toasted taste with gentle yeast in the flavor with a mineral quality that combines with a slight woody peppery hop taste.
The overall take is not bad but a pretty middle of the road beer for me, not bad style wise as it is balanced but neither hop nor malt flavors stand out

Looks clear golden with a firm white cap of head. Good retention, and some spotty lacing.
Smells a bit muted, but there is orange pith, honey, earth, grass, cantaloupe, light biscuit malt.
Toasted bread and honey upfront, followed by some balancing earth and grass. A bit of orange peel and candied melon--cantaloupe and honeydew--on the back end, before finishing well-balanced between sweetness and dryness.
Drinks very easily; medium-light bodied, well-carbonated, and lightly dry.
A really crushable, anytime-blonde ale, almost imperial in strength to make for a good buzz while sessioning. A nice beer all around.
