just your typical pils. id say it does a disservice to the style, cept it drinks pretty good and kicks bud/coors/etc in the ass... so it gets a pass

Deep yellow. Frothy white head
Sweet roll smell. White bread biscuit.
Taste is doughy malt, zippy herbal hop
Heavy carbonation yet smooth. Inoffensive.

L: Pours brilliant straw under a persistent 2” bone white foam collar that clings to the side of the glass
S: Hop spice, very light grains, no butter or sulfur aromas.
T: Dry, light grainy malt, hints of graham cracker, no fruit,
F: Very creamy, refreshing, clean and crisp, medium light body, medium to medium high carbonation.
O: A flavorful, refreshing, well done Czech Pilsner.

I picked this up at the Binny's store in Bloomingdale, IL as part of a build-your-own 6 pack for $9.99, making this single 12oz brown bottle $1.67. As always, Great Lakes puts a best before date on the back label.
The beer poured a clear, light, golden color and produced a long lasting 2-finger white head. Even after the head faded, it left a thin rim of white foam on top. It didn't produce much lacing however, just a light sprinkling of small spots.
Nice flowery bouquet with some pale malt sweetness and a touch of yeast.
This is a well balanced and well made beer. The main flavor comes from sweet bready nalt and yeast with a delicate bitterness and spiciness from the noble hops. Despite the sweetness in the mouth it finishes clean and dry.
Light bodied with moderate carbonation.
This is one delicious Czech style pilsener.

Very quick review. Off-bitter & truly boring. This pils was a letdown.

This is one of the best summer brews created. This was my go to on a hot day and it is hard to find anything that is as refreshing yet full flavored. This is a balanced beer that is the both of best worlds...light yet flavorful...I am sad that it won't be available this summer in the bottle but if I know GLBC, they will eventually bring it back and I will be delighted to drink it again. If you have the chance, try this pilsner, it is high end and delicious!
