12 oz bottle poured into a nonic pint.

Golden amber. Short white head. Good clarity.

Dank, catty, weed, peach, passion fruit, earthy, leafy, and apple juicy.

Earthy, woodsy, and damp grass. Dank, weed, catty, and resinous. Candy sugar maltiness with additions of apple juice.

Medium-plus bodied, silky, oily, semi-dry, and moderately bitter.

Resinous overall with a strange apple juice flavor that I don't really care for. The abv is hidden well.

12 oz bottle poured into pint glass best by date of 7/10/17 so I am guessing a 4/10 bottling date

A: Amber orange body with great clarity small creamy looking white that settles to barely a film.

S: Sweet melon like cantaloupe a little honey a little herbal and some grass.

T: Lots of sweet cantaloupe almost like eating an overripe cantaloupe a little light citrus in the finish.

M: Medium bodied wth a slight bit of cling on the tongue.

O: This beer is just too sweet. It muddles what might otherwise be a great beer, but the beers fruit flavored are so undistinguished. This beer is every bit as unremarkable as they have made Chillwave.

Great looking pour from a fresh 12oz bottle. It's a slightly cloudy burnt orange gold with a massive, thick off white head with great retention and some lacing.

It smells sweet and malty. Like honey and caramel malts. A bit of fruit rind. Not much else to report.

It tastes a little better, but not by much. Very malty and sweet with honey, grapefruit rind, and a lot of bitterness on the back end. Not really any distinguishing flavors. Just sweet, then bitter.

Even though my score is significantly lower than average, I feel like it is generous. Not undrinkable, but I had no desire to finish it either.

Looks really good. Nice color and lacing. Very little aroma for a IPA. Taste is ok, pine and hoppy with a bitter finish.

Enjoy by 7/11/17. 12oz bottle poured into a tulip. Pours a brunt golden with solid clarity; small fluffy off-white head that falls leaving great retention and nice lacing. The aromas are floral along with some citrus. Sweet grapefruit is there along with some orange and lemon. Malts are there. Subtle hints of caramel. The flavors are bittersweet, but probably more on the bitter side. Lots of grapefruit along with some lemon. Subtle hints of orange. Pine is there. It's slightly earthy. Solid malt backbone, but still has a sharp bitterness. Mild resin and warmth in the finish, but it's still ultimately clean. Mouthfeel is on the lighter side of full-bodied with moderate carbonation. It's slightly thin, but still has a nice fluffy body to it. It's slightly slick. Pretty smooth stuff.

This is a solid DIPA. It's not flashy or anything crazy, but it's nice and enjoyable. No gimmicks, just straight forward. Not bad at all.

Please enjoy by: 07/10/17

Hazy orange with an attractive layer of sticky, soapy bubbles on top. Smell hints at DMS before moving on to pine resin, lemon citrus, and rotting fruit. Green resinous hop bitterness over a sweet, bready malt base. Flowery citrus, spicy pine, peach, and grain. Slick, chewy body finishing somewhat dry. A little heavy and clunky feeling for my tastes.

Taste: bold tropical pineapple and citrus notes from the hops. Crisp and tangy, almost sweet. Big tropical fruit hop nose too. Amber color, clear, with a refined head and lace on the taster glass. Medium body. 80 IBUs

Got to try from a growler thanks to Neorunner.

Color is a nice hazy gold with an orange tinge. Head is s nice fine white froth, but dissipates very quickly, light lacing is present. Nose is mild with a nice hop presence, slight hints of tropical fruit and apricot.

Mouthfeel is silky with a bright, crisp finish. Flavors of dried apricot with an herbal quality. Finishes dry and refreshing with hints of citrus and dried fruits.

Great balance all around, quite drinkable. Leaves you wanting more.

64 ounce growler
Served in an imperial nonic glass

A - The first thing I notice is how cloudy this beer is. It was the end of a keg, so I probably have more yeast than a normal pour. The color of this beer is on the lighter side of amber. It is capped with three inches of off-white head.

S - The aroma consists of citrus and tropical fruit. There is also some bready malt that balances it.

T - It is surprisingly lacking in flavor. This is the second time I have had it, and the second time I have drawn this conclusion. There is a bitter pine finish that grows as I consume the growler. I am just not getting the citrus or tropical fruits. Hell, the bready malt is even conspicuously missing.

M - Medium to full. The sediment adds to the fullness.

O - I have to admit that this beer is a bit of a letdown. I hold Great Lakes beers in high regard. I think all of their beers are spot on for the style to downright great, aside from Glockenspiel. This beer is not bad. It is just average. I rarely get to try Great Lakes brewery only beers, but this one just left me feeling meh. I would drink Commodore Perry over this beer any day.
