This is a very hoppy and enjoyable brew. They even put the 80 IBU on the label. It's a beautiful amber color without too much head but just enough pleasant carbonation and great mouthfeel. There is a citrus flavor that tastes like some of the best hops from Washington state. I am guessing Citra, Centennial, and Amarillo. This is one brew I enjoyed enough to buy more.

Pours a clear amber color. 1/2 inch head of an off-white color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of alcohol, earthiness, caramel malt, slight sweet malt, hint of tea, grass, piney hops, and spicy hops. Fits the style of an American Blonde Ale. Mouth feel is smooth and clean, with a low carbonation level. Tastes of alcohol, sweet malt, spicy hops, piney hops, hint of citrus hops, slight tea, hint of caramel malt, and grass. Overall, good appearance, aroma, body, blend, and complexity.

Had a pint on tap with steak dinner at the Polaris Grill in Columbus Ohio. Beautiful golden Amber color. Nice fruity pine smell and taste. I would not know this was a double IPA. Alcohol very well hidden in my opinion. Loved the taste and look of this beer.

Pours a light copper, dark gold with medium to low carbonation. Aroma is fresh fruity citrusy hops. Taste is much of the same with a little berry and pine. Booze isn't too strong but you can tell you're wading into a DIPA. Malt isn't too noticeable but there is a little bready/sweat thing going on if you look for it. Overall it's an easy drinking solid well executed DIPA. The mosaic hops really shine here and it's a pleasure to drink.

Poured from bottle to pint glass. Poured dark amber / rust color with a white head. Aroma of cirtus, wheat, a little grassy. Tastes of grapefruit, citrus , wheat, floral, hoppy. for 9% the alcohol was hidden well. Thick and smooth feel. Overall a really good ipa. Great Lakes rarley dissapoints!

Another excellent beer from great lakes...might just be my favorite besides edmund fitzgerald. Fruity notes and just enough hops make this an excellent tasting brew. 9.0 alcohol is well hidden..if you see this try it...you wont be disappointed

L: Dark amber color with a good amount of off-white head that leaves pretty quick
S: Hops and citrus, maybe some orange and lemon in there.
T: Lots of fruit and hops combining here. Aftertaste is sweet and a little sticky.
F: Nice and thick feel here with a good amount of carbonation.
O: Really solid DIPA, just a little too much fruit flavor for my personal taste, but still a really well made beer.

My favorite seasonal beer by Great Lakes. This is either 3 or 4 years in a row I have gotten a case Of Chill Wave. The only bad thing I can say about this beer is it is slightly heavy. Other than that , it rates as a top notch beer.

Bottle "enjoy by 4/30/17" into pint glass. Pours a slightly hazy amber with a coarse off-white head. Initial impression is sweetened citrus, morphing into a slightly fruity bitterness. Mouthfeel is smooth and a little heavier than your typical DIPA. Carbonation is on the light side, which is perfect for the style. Finish is smooth, dry, and slightly sweet. Alcohol is pretty well hidden. A little too much fruity sweetness for my taste, but that's just me.
