4/26/17 - On tap at the Ardmore Music Hall in Ardmore, PA. 9% so 10 oz. pour served In a very inviting 10 oz. clear plastic cup. Clear dark brown color with carmelish colored head. Good beer, but won't become my go-to DIPA.

Purchased 12 bottles from the bargain bin at .99 a bottle 2 weeks from enjoy by date. Poured refrigerator temp into a 16 ounce IPA glass. Clear amber orange in color with a decent head. Had fair lacing with some residual head throughout the entire glassful. It smelled like a DIPA should with a sweet citrus pine tone to it. The taste was slightly fruity and hoppy without over powering the malt. For a 9% ABV it was pretty enjoyable. The mouthfeel and retention was good with no over the top bitterness and it hid the 9% ABV well enough to not be considered boozy. I found it well balanced and enjoyable.

This is a very hoppy and enjoyable brew. They even put the 80 IBU on the label. It's a beautiful amber color without too much head but just enough pleasant carbonation and great mouthfeel. There is a citrus flavor that tastes like some of the best hops from Washington state. I am guessing Citra, Centennial, and Amarillo. This is one brew I enjoyed enough to buy more.

Pours a clear amber color. 1/2 inch head of an off-white color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of alcohol, earthiness, caramel malt, slight sweet malt, hint of tea, grass, piney hops, and spicy hops. Fits the style of an American Blonde Ale. Mouth feel is smooth and clean, with a low carbonation level. Tastes of alcohol, sweet malt, spicy hops, piney hops, hint of citrus hops, slight tea, hint of caramel malt, and grass. Overall, good appearance, aroma, body, blend, and complexity.

Had a pint on tap with steak dinner at the Polaris Grill in Columbus Ohio. Beautiful golden Amber color. Nice fruity pine smell and taste. I would not know this was a double IPA. Alcohol very well hidden in my opinion. Loved the taste and look of this beer.

Pours a light copper, dark gold with medium to low carbonation. Aroma is fresh fruity citrusy hops. Taste is much of the same with a little berry and pine. Booze isn't too strong but you can tell you're wading into a DIPA. Malt isn't too noticeable but there is a little bready/sweat thing going on if you look for it. Overall it's an easy drinking solid well executed DIPA. The mosaic hops really shine here and it's a pleasure to drink.

Poured from bottle to pint glass. Poured dark amber / rust color with a white head. Aroma of cirtus, wheat, a little grassy. Tastes of grapefruit, citrus , wheat, floral, hoppy. for 9% the alcohol was hidden well. Thick and smooth feel. Overall a really good ipa. Great Lakes rarley dissapoints!
