Look - deep orangish amber color with a decent white head with some lacing.

Smell - piney hops, citrus, sweet caramel malt.

Taste - hops are really present in the form of pine resin, but there is a solid malty backbone that levels it out nicely. It finishes with strong hop notes.

Feel - moderate carbonation and body; nothing really special.

Overall, this is a nice DIPA that balances hops with malty characteristics. I prefer a crisper flavor in a DIPA though.

This beer pours a clear amber-orange with a medium sized head. The aroma offers of the classic mosaic cocktail fo guava, pineapple, passion fruit, and grapefruit peel. with a touch of caramel and candy smell, like orange sherbet. The flavor leads with pineapple and guava, then comes the hint of grapefruit, and the creamy cnady orange flavor and caramel come through at the finish. The mouthfeel is fairly full and sticky. Overall this si a nice double IPA, but a touch to sweet for my taste. Mosaic is still my favorite hop, but with any tropical hop too much sweetness can make things a bit cloying. I still enjoyed this one, but with that small reservation.

Full body with smooth hoppy taste. Great smells rounds up the experience. Typically not a fan of to strong beers but this one is a great exception.

Poured a clear honey yellow with a subdued white head that dissipated quickly. Smells of tropical fruit mainly pineapple and oranges. Flavor follows the nose with the addition of a touch of pine. Feels a little thick and not very carbonated. Overall a very nice beer that I will buy again.

Chillwave is a nice-looking imperial IPA: a clear, sparkling pale amber beer capped by a pebbly, medium ivory-colored head that leaves good bands and caverns of lacing and doesn't vanish at the first opportunity. The nose is big: fermented pineapple backed by peppery florals and light caramel notes. Up front, the palate is modestly-bitter juicy pineapple offset by sweet/spicy florals and a bit of sweetish malt; mid-palate the malt becomes dominant, sweetening a bit more as the caramel character deepens and is joined by a subtle bittersweet nuttiness and significant alcohol undertones. The finish is fairly clean, just a bit of nuttiness, and is fairly boozy; the linger is a style-moderate grassy/pine bitterness that stays around for awhile. Mouthfeel is commersurate with the medium body, and is slightly astringent; the texture is a bit slick and medium-peppery from the well-expressed carbonation. While this beer lands a good ways into "malty" territory as far as balance is concerned, the sweetness is mostly kept in check by the alcohol and the residual bitterness. (12 oz bottle, 30 days before best-by)

Best before date of 07/03/16

Appearance - Pours slightly hazy and orange amber in color with a sanstone colored, near finger width head. Fair retention, dissipating to a thin, broken layer of suds across the top. Not much for lacing save a few lines left around the top and a spot or two.

Smell - Fruity aroma, with notes of mango, stone fruit, citrus and a hint of pineapple.

Taste - Follows the nose. Hits first on some mild mango and, then fresh citrus quickly cuts in to deliver lively notes of juicy orange and bitter grapefruit character. Light spice. Malts are fairly hidden, but add a hint of caramel and bready sweetness. Stone fruit comes through near toward the back end, with a finish that's bitter orange or grapefruit pith with a touch of booze.

Mouthfeel - Near full-bodied with moderate, tingly carbonation. Smooth, easy drinker with a mostly dry finish.

Overall - Very good DIPA. Lots of flavor to work through, but quite drinkable all the same. I'll hope to try this again some day.

Poured into a 13 oz Weyerbacher tulip glass best by 7/10/16. Pours a very attractive orange red with a two inch off white sticky head that leaves behind plenty of lace.

Smell is tangerine, apricot, cannabis, pine, and grapefruit.

Taste follows big flavor, everything from the nose, with a big piney grapefruit finish that holds on long after you set the glass down.

Mouthfeel is bigger than medium, moderate life, maybe a little dry, and excellent drinkability for its heft.

Overall this is a very good DIPA, once again @jzeilinger hits it out of the park.
