Poured into a small narrow glass: color is straw gold, a little dense looking; head bubbles are small and dense with some light lacing on the glass.

Smell is primarily a subtle blend of pumpkin spice, clove is prominent with some ginger; there is a touch of banana and maybe clove from the yeast aromas.

Taste is similar to the aroma with the not overpowering pumpkin spice in the forefront with clove and ginger, then some light yeast off flavors with banana most notable; the malt profile compliments these subtle flavors.

Mouthfeel is pleasant, a balance of dry and sweet with the spicy dryness cleaning up the malt and fermentation sweetness.

Overall, since this brew is located in a the tripel style it has been reviewed as such, but i could see this leaning more towards the pumpkin ale style and getting better recognition.

Poured from a 12 oz. can into a Duvel tulip glass.

Appearance: Pours a hazy golden orange with a moderate amount of bubbles and some floating sediment. About one finger of white head which settles into a thin patch.

Smell: A yeasty, fruity, and earthy Belgian style aroma with big hints of pumpkin, spices, and fruit. Belgian yeast with hints of clove, pepper, coriander, and funk. Big scent of pumpkin along with hints of fall spices. Belgian fruit hints of green apple, banana, pear, and white grape. Sweet hints of Belgian candy sugar. Subtle hints of earthy and grassy hops. A pretty interesting and solid aroma.

Taste: Like the smell, a spicy, yeasty, and fruity Belgian style taste with good notes of pumpkin, spices, and fruit esters. Big mix of spices with Belgian yeast hints of clove, pepper, coriander, and funk. Big taste of pumpkin along with some fall spices. Sweet notes of Belgian candy sugar. Good presence of fruit esters with notes of pear, banana, green apple, and white grape. Light backing presence of earthy hops. A pretty good taste.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a high level of carbonation. Creamy, juicy, and fairly prickly. Alcohol heat is mild.

Overall: A good twist on a Belgian style Tripel. Good pumpkin flavor that stands out but doesn’t bury the Belgian fruit esters. A nice unique brew.

12oz can, poured into a chalice, canned on 9/9/13

A- pours a clear golden-orange color with a one-finger creamy white head that reduces to a film floating on top, short lace left behind. Some floaties moving around as well.

S- pumpkin pie spice aroma up front with cinnamon, clove and and nutmeg. The base triple provides the banana esters, which mixes wight he pumpkin spicing to provide an aroma of whipped cream and pie crust. This mixture also brings forth aromas of banana pudding. Some spicy Belgian yeast aromas follow, finished with light musty phenols

T- pumpkin spicing is subtle but noticeable up frontal picking up more nutmeg and clove than anything. Following, are sweet malty notes that give the flavor vanilla wafers and graham cracker. Spicy Belgian yeast kicks in with flavors of banana and clove with spicy phenols on the finish

M- medium body and carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that continues into a dry, slightly warming finish

O- the pumpkin spiced triple is a style that I hadn't seen before this, but I like it. The pumpkin spices seem to complement the base triple flavors & aromas quite nicely. I'd like to see more of this combo tried in the future

A: Pours a golden color with 2 fingers of head that fades down to a thin cap that leaves splotchy lacing

S: Lots of pumpkin spices along with some yeasty notes consisting of fruits and spices. Some gourd/squash/vegetal pumpkin notes in there as well

T: Follows the nose. Starts off with a bit of the actual pumpkin notes up front along with the spices (cinnamon and nutmeg predominantly). Goes into a bit of yeasty esters before finishing with some bready maltiness and lingering spices

M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation

O: An interesting take on the style with all the pumpkin spices thrown in there. They meld nicely with the spiciness of the yeast and esters, though, so it's not too different. Quite drinkable for 8.2%.
A good switch-up for those who enjoy pumpkin beers
