I guess compared to some of the macro options when you're dining on Mexican food, this can hold its own. Pours a slightly darker than the usual yellow and clear macro option I spoke of. Holds a sturdier head too, this one manages to hold up at about the 1/4" line, white in color. A familiar aroma of the mixture of barley, corn and yeast, reminds me of Miller Brewing aromas in downtown Milwaukee that would waft through the area back in the day.

Taste is a light hopped, light bodied, light yeast lager. AAL for sure. Seemed to have almost a Vienna lager like malt contribution. Hops in the smallest way possible but yet able to be there without a massive search party. On one hand, they set the bar so low it is easy to overcome. I guess this is like made for the guy too cool for a Pacifico or maybe the one who wants to feel crafty about it.

Pale straw colored. Nose is mildly lemony and malty, perhaps with a bit of vegetable adjunct aroma. Head dissipates to about 1 finger then to nothing over next few minutes. Taste is of crackery malt, rather sweet, in contrast to the nose. Not much hops noticeable. Quaffable, preferably with Mexican/spicy food, but not complex in any way. —Reviewed 2017/09/10

Bright clear pale straw color, light head and scant lacing. We expect a very mild lager and got one. Little nose, slightly sweet and just a hint of malt. It's a great one to have after a hot afternoon's work, or cold from the ice chest after getting back to camp from a long hike. Nothing great here. There are better all malt lagers around for the same price.

Poured from a 12 ounce can into a Willi Becher glass. Stamped "Cold Spring, MN CQP12 0923" even though the can says "Hecho en San Leandro"
2/1.5/2/3/1.25
Clear, pale yellow with a couple of bubbles. Scant heads fades fast.
Smells like a cheap, crappy lager, à la Bud or Corona. Sweet and corny.
Tastes lake a cheap, crappy lager, à la PBR. Sweet, malty, lightly carbonated, and broadly palatable though specifically objectionable.
I don't know why a brewery like 21st Amendment would intentionally make this beer or sell it at this price. Avoid!

From the can. Tastes of bread, corn, and crackers. Kind of sweet - in fact, too sweet for my tastes. Mouthfeel is fairly light; carbonation is medium. Kind of like a craft-brewed Corona. Exactly as advertised, but what's the point??
It's a shame to waste brewery capacity on this dreck. Bring back Hop Crisis instead!!

12 oz can poured into a nonic pint glass no idea about canned on date.

A: not much of a head but what was there was white interns to a film. The body itself is a bright gold and yellow in with excellent clarity.

S:smells creamy malty with a little bit of corn with light doughiness.

T: light maltiness a touch of sweetness a little grain and corn flavor.

M: Light crisp good carbonation this beer is super easy to drink.

O: I don't know why ppl shit on this style this is just Budweiser done better with a little more depths and character and a little fresher.

Canned on 6/8/17.
Had one last night after a burnout road trip, then again today after a hot day scraping paint. Had it plain yesterday, actually added a lime slice on a whim today.
This is exactly what is advertised, a Mexican Adjunct Lager. Missing are some of the poorer notes you get with Corona, El Sol etc.
On a hot day I really liked starting my beer session with this. If I was stuck at a party where all other options where standard BMC and real Mexican Adjunct Lager I would stick with this and like it.

Appearance: Pours clear and golden with a nice head forming; decent retention and spotty lacing

Smell: Cereal grains and corn ; hint of lemon

Taste: Crisp and clean opening with the corn making an appearance with the sweeter malt bill that builds, through the middle, along with grassy and lemony tones; the sweetness lingers into the finish

Mouthfeel: Light to medium body with moderate carbonation

Overall: A decent stab at the style but not something that floats my boat
