Very Good
Brew Free! or Die Blood Orange IPABrew Free! or Die Blood Orange IPA
Notes: Ale brewed with Blood Oranges. Blood Orange Brew Free! is brewed like our original west coast style Brew Free! or Die IPA, but with an abundance of fresh blood orange puree and a twist of citrusy dry hops. Refreshingly different. As Abe would say, “Whatever you are, be a good one.”

Cloudy copper/orange color, translucent due to suspended orange pulp with a moderate off white head that retains fairly well producing just a bit of decent lacing.
The aroma is orange with plenty of pine resin and hints of grapefruit rind.
The taste is sweet blood orange, light caramel malt more than balanced by pine resin and grapefruit rind/pulp. It starts slightly sweet and fruity then transitions to a dry lingering pine resin and citrus pulp finish. Very tasty and refreshing.
The body is medium with moderate carbonation and smoothness.
Altogether a very nice change of pace. I couldn't drink this all the time (There are too many other good beers to try), but i would definitely give this another go.

A subtle hint of fruit and hop. Smooth at the beginning and bitter at the end.

12 oz can gifted to me. Date stamp is not readable. Poured into a tulip glass. Pours translucent orange/amber with almost 2 fingers of off-white, fairly loose head which recedes over time to eventually leave a thin film of broken islands of foam with some token amount of lacing that is not very noteworthy. Smells citrusy with hints of malt and the citrus is more reminiscent of rinds/peel than of fruit. Same with the taste. Perhaps it is the hop bitterness that lends a citrus rind/peel flavor to this. I was thinking more tangerine than blood orange, and maybe some grapefruit. Mouthfeel is medium body with carbonation on the lively side of medium. Overall not bad at all but IMO, the hop bitterness produces too much of a rind/peel flavor for my taste.

They finally got it. The color orange for blood orange.

Scent is solid orange and so it the taste. Feel seems more carbonation than most.

21st makes good beer. But yet to find the excellent one

Hazy golden, minimum head and lacing. Notes of orange peel as expected, higher lingering bitterness, some of which is noticeably from the peel.

I like it enough to drink it, but not enough to buy it again. The bitterness out stays it's welcome as you can tell it's not all hop generated. But heavily coming from the orange peel oils. As of my last sip it's still noticeably strong a few minutes later, which is not desirable for me. IBUs are a bit high for the combo as it needs to be calmed down some for balance.

(update, 5 minutes later and it still tastes like I chewed up orange peel)

This isn't bad at all its rather good honestly it just tastes like fruity pebbles to me, very artificial but I might very well have the Steely Watermelon still stuck on my tongue. Ugh.

Brilliant brassy amber color with a nice rich foamy head. Clear with just mild carbonation. The aroma is predominately blood orange. A bit of pine and citrus on the nose followed by bready malts. The taste is really good if you're looking for a fruited beer. The blood orange reminds me of the flavor from a blood orange flavored soda. Slight resiny piney character and then a mouthfeel of doughy malts. Drinkability is high and I think even people who don't like beers could get into this one. Certainly has more orange character than most beers that try this style. Good.

12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a small, khaki-colored head of bubbly foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of blood oranges, toasted caramel and resinous pine. Sweet toasted caramel taste with tart oranges and a piney bitterness.

Bought a single 19.2oz can $3.39 Whole Foods
40 days old
Smell of oranges
Amber color
Medium-heavy mouthfeel
Medium carbonation
Taste of bitterness hits first, then oranges, pine, wheat
Overall ok. Not something I would buy again. Seems unbalanced with bitterness.

Yellow/orange in color with medium white head. Tastes citrusy of blood orange. Mildly to medium hoppiness. Drinkability is very easy. Not the smoothest but no bad after taste

Pours rusty orange with minimal head and lacing. Smell is a little fainter than I expected with piney hops at first, but more sniffs reveal bready/malty sweetness and orange pulp. The blood orange comes out better in the taste, along some hops bitterness. Was hoping it would be more citrusy to the point of puckering, but while you know the orange is there, it's not overpowering. The pine and citrus are about even.

Poured from a can into a tulip glass a 3F yellowish white foam head with lots of loose lace forms. This high water lace and head settles lowly to a 1F floppy top. Color is burnt orange and cloudy at about 80% opacity.

On the nose I detect burst of artificially flavored orange soda, malt and yeast.

Taste presents bitter orange pith with no malt flavor and an astringent alcohol note.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a slick dry finish and an alcohol astringency.

Not for me, the fake orange taste and super weird bitterness results in a drain pour.
