Served on tap in a nonic pint glass at the 21st Amendment Brewery & Restaurant in San Francisco.
A: Pours a crystal clear, light golden color with a one half to three quarter inch, white foamy head, moderate head retention, but limited, soapy lacing.
S: Aromas of grapefruit to tangerine/citrus, mango/papaya, and very light pine with a strong caramel presence.
T: Palate similar to nose, but much more understated. Nice melange of flavor, although nose and palate elements do fade as it warms. Bittering in very good counterpoise to malts leaving a clean, crisp finish.
M: Light bodied with low level, but very persistent effervescence. Refreshing and thirstquenching.
O: Delightful American Brut IPA. Despite bitterness (or perhaps because of it), mouthfeel (but not flavor) very reminiscent of a sparking white, although overall I found it more refreshing.
