Poured from a can. Straw yellow in color with a good sized head and some lacing. Not much going on in the smell, slight fruit scent. Tastes of bread and somewhat artificial watermelon flavor. Smooth and easy to drink, not great but ok on a summer day

12oz can into a Willi pint.

A: Pours a slightly hazy straw gold with 1"+ of desnse white head that recedes slowly. Retention and lacing are above-average.

S: Yeasty and fruit sweet with some traces of watermelon. Not bad, although quite one-dimensional.

T: Opens with pleasant light maltiness which quickly develops some fruit sweetness across the mid palate that does eventually resemble watermelon. Finishes off-sweet. Still one-dimensional but very well executed.

M: Fairly light with above-average carb. Well suited to the flavor profile.

O: It makes up for a lack of complexity by being so darn well crafted. Everything is in balance, it's really quite drinkable and not too sweet.

Hazy straw color with a white head. Smells sweet, grassy, watermelon-y. A little too bitter, but the fruit comes through in a nice way, and the wheat gives it a nice breadiness. Light to medium bodied. One of the better fruit beers and a good summer beer.

Had poured as a rotating tap. The look was very inviting: golden coloration with a great clarity when looking through the glass. Scent and taste more-or-less lined up together: very heavy on the watermelon -- almost candy link -- with some subtle hints from maltiness. Was very refreshing and would recommend trying at least once for the fun flavor.

Bright gold with some cloudiness. Mild cereal and watermelon jolly rancher are in the scent and taste. This beer is crisp, sweet, and clean. Faint watermelon flavour over warm sugar and tight champagne bubbles. A good head if poured with vigour. A sweet, simple, easy-drinking beer. No beer I've had comes close to being as refreshing as this beer. You absolutely must try this beer while gnawing on some salty jerky or some sticky BBQ.

Best from the can- packed in an icy cooler. When the can is cold enough to hurt your lips, you're there!

Here in Pittsburgh, this beer is seasonal. My friends and I always send each other an excited pic over the phone when we first spot it each year. Kind of an unofficial celebration of spring.

12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden yellow color with a small, white head of foam. It smelled of watermelon and caramel. Sweet watermelon with very little wheat or much else.

M: light to medium bodied; moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish;

O: I hoped for fresh watermelon flavor;

Straw with a light haze and lots of bubbles. Four fingers of white head.

Smells of watered down beer and watermelon.

The taste follows the nose.

Very watery with little carbonation.

I got this in Reno Nevada room drinking tonight July 12, 2019.

L: nice yellow hazy color with frothy head and moderate carbonation
S: mild fruity aroma mellowed by wheat
T: follows smell but with a bit stronger wheat taste
F: moderately light and stays more on the surface of the tongue
O: a refreshing quality but could have used more of the watermelon flavor

Poured into a wheat beer glass. 2 inches of creamy white head, semi opaque golden yellow. Smell is almost non existent. Tastes like watermelon, malt and hops. Feels well carbonated finishes juicy. Overall a drinkable wheat beer. The watermelon tastes too strong not to have artificial flavor added. Think watermelon jolly rancher-Watermelon juice is mostly water, it would be super hard to get this flavor without adjuncts-Maybe I am wrong but I do not think so-

On the light side of gold with a slight haze and very minimal visible carbonation. An initially large loose head fades quite quickly. I'm confused by the smell. There's some watermelon in there, but what there's a lot more of is skunk. My wife says she recalls "fruity kimchee." The taste isn't a whole lot better. It's got some Jolly Rancher-ness to it, but none of the wheat beer characteristics I typically seek out are there with any prominence. Mouthfeel is right at average; smooth, not too heavy. Overall, though, they have taken what I probably wouldn't have found to be a great wheat beer and taken it down a notch with the fruit influence.

S: Fresh bread and wheat mixed with jolly rancher candy.

T: Sweet jolly rancher candy and fresh bread and wheat.

F: Smooth and easy drinking.

O; Watermelon isn't my favorite flavor in beer but this is a decent beer.

LOOKS: An opaque amber, with a small white head that dissipates quickly. Mild lacing.
AROMA: Jolly Rancher's watermelon candies, cracker bread.
TASTE: Very fruity, big JR watermelon candy.
FEEL: Well carbonated, light body, fairly dry.
OA: One and done, for me, novelty sweet brew.

Light orange slightly hazy look with not much head from tap. My initial impression of the nose is sweet tea. Slightly bitter yet somewhat sweet with an interesting flavor. Higher carbonation and a thinner feel on this brew works pretty well on this one.

It has a medium body and carbonation. Aroma was grain/wheat, watermelon, and watermelon rind. Taste was very similar, not to sweet and the wheat gave it a grainy taste and feel. The watermelon didn't taste artificial and it was just enough. The watermelon was pleasing without dominating

My go-to for easy-drinking. I like how it's a cyborg, how it's fake tropical. The finish is where this beer shines, because that's where the watermelon slips in, lingers, and goes away, with the swallow. The watermelon could have more presence, tho. But at the same time, it's nuance-like status within the overall tasting-sequence makes the desire for another sip stronger. One leads to another. Two beers, then four. Backyards, guitars, chairs, something to smoke, something to eat. And this to sip.

Had this beer on tap in Gettysburg PA and instantly it became my new Summer favorite. I love watermelon, just the hint of smell and taste is perfect. I wish I could get it in a 24 case instead of if a 15 pack. However, the best taste, when drinking this beer, is from the tap.

Description: Light golden color with a white head that quickly dissipates. Hazy appearance. Smell is straw, musty and just a light hit of melon. Pretty mild overall and not a lot there. Watermelon is more pronounced on the taste. Perhaps some cucumber as well and a little salt. There's some bitterness on the finish but not much. A generally clean taste. Feel is light and dry with high carbonation.

Overall: 3.75 (This beer is good but I would not likely drink it again) This wasn't a bad beer, but it was thin and there wasn't much to it. If you're looking for something that's light, summery and easy to drink this might fit the bill, but it's nothing to get excited about. Take it or leave it, no big deal either way.

This is one of the worst beers ever to hit the shelves. The interplay of watermelon hints with the basic wheat beer base fails miserably. From a brewery that usually exceeds expectations, this was a miss. There are too many good beers out there to waste your money on this one!

I like that infuse real watermelon puree into this beer. This has exceeded my expectations as well. This is quite smooth & the watermelon is definitely their. A 6 pack of this during the spring & summer seasons would be a real treat. Cheers! B

Pale, murky gold, with a few cheerful bubbles. Plenty of lacing, & a rather thin head.

Smells like mellon, water mellon.

Taste follows the nose. Creamy wheat, carrots too.

It dose not taste bad, or good. Might go well with salad.
Perhaps something Uncle Owen would cherish.

Wonderful, sweet watermelon flavor with a bit of sourness thrown in. Smell brings floral hints as well as wheat. Doesn't form much of a head, but still keeps a nice feel throughout. I personally like the sourness but if you want pure sweet in your watermelon ale it may not be for you. For me though it works out fantastically.

Pours yellow. Bubbly, short, Whitehead that Fades fast.

Smells watermelon, light wheat, light tartness and a light funkiness.

Taste candied watermelon, wheat Funk, Light Citrus and light malt. Finish id semi dry with a watermelon and wheat linger. Lightbody and fizzy medium carbonation.

Straw colored. Little to no head. Nose is a bit citrusy, perhaps also with a cooked-fish aroma, strangely. In taste, I can discern the watermelon, but it's reminiscent of watermelon rind rather than the fleshy good part. There's a sourness that undermines the watermelon. The finish is somewhat bitter, but not apparently due to hops. Frankly, this doesn't taste good to me. —Reviewed 2017/09/10
