Can from Perry's Liquor in Livermore CA

A - POured a slight hazed yellow color with a white head that leaves some spotty lacing behind

S - Is fairly light with wheat and some watermelon

T - Starts off like most wheat ales with wheat upfront then the watermelon starts coming through and dominates the finish

M - This beer has a light body with higher carbonation to it

O - While I'm not that into fruit beers this one is pretty good as the fruit flavoring isn't overpowering making it very easy to drink this is going to be a good beer as the weather warms up worth trying sometime if you see it

Pours very light colored with a small head. Definite watermelon smell, and taste. Easy drinking, slightly bittered watered down watermelon flavor. Nice in that you get the flavor you're expecting, but needs to be a slight bit fuller bodied and flavored, even for a summer refresher, I thought. Ok, but not as good as I hoped it would be.

12 oz can, 4.9% abv. Pours a hazy, pale straw color. White foamy head disappears almost immediately. No lace.

Pale, slightly sour, grainy aroma. Moderate amount of fruit, with a hint of watermelon near the end.

Pale malt, with a hint of tartness. Cereal grains show through a bit. Some bitterness, then a soft amount of watermelon. Not a whole lot going on.

Light body, but not overly fizzy. Watermelon comes across very subtle, without an artificial feel. Easy to drink on a hot day. Not bad.

Pale and light yellow color with a light haze. The head is whispy and lacks longevity.

It's not very aromatic, but it has wheat, lemon, and watermelon.

It's tastes exactly as I expected. Whet beer with watermelon. The watermelon is very distinct.

Light body, but crisp and refreshing.

There's not much to this beer yet I feel like I enjoyed it more that my scores would suggest. To put it in context I'm grilling and sweating and it's hot as Hades out here. It was quite quenching.

My can says it's made in MN, so I'm not sure where it's made. Anyway, the appearance was alright, had a nice little head to it, but died out quickly to a thin lacing, then to nothing. Color was a hazy, faint straw. My nose was a little stuffy, but from what I could tell, it was mostly a wheaty smell, with background smells of watermelon, malts, and very little hops. Taste was more wheat in the beginning, but as it went down your throat, the watermelon really showed itself. It was almost as if someone dropped a jolly rancher in my wheat beer, but not as sweet and fake tasting. Great beer for the summer! Overall a decent beer, glad I finally tried it.

Is this the first can I've reviewed since Miller Lite? Fantastic styled can from 21A. Thanks Nico & Shaun.

Pours out as a deep murky hazy swamp water orange hue. No head to speak of.

Nose is a light cheddar, yes as in cheese. No fruit appearing.

First swigs: Oh there is the watermelon. Crammed in with the wheat and the light escaping malt. THis is a balancing act of light wheat and light malt. Yummy! Slight bubble gum. Easy watermelon and yes...cheese! Stickin' with the cheese aspect but subtle

Feel is thin and brisk!

Last swigs: This is trade worthy. Seek and destroy!

Can as an extra from numbeercruncher - thanks!! Poured into a cervoise.

Appearance: Pours a very slightly hazed golden yellow, a very traditional hefe-esque color, with a two-finger white head of average to perhaps - for the style - slightly above average retention. Leaves some nice splotches of runny, glittery, watery lacing. The carbonation is plentiful, well-distributed, relatively fine-bubbled, and very fast.

Aroma: A little simplistic, though largely pleasant. Plenty of lightly tart watermelon, pretty authentic, over a biscuity-smelling malt base. Strangely enough, I get hints of caramel and caramelized sugars out of this one, which seem a little off - at least in my mind. Not bad though.

Taste: A little tarter and fruitier than I'd like, with a few unpleasant "vegetal" notes. On the other hand, there's plenty of good stuff here - a sweet malt base with hints of roast peeking through and watermelon "pulp" notes that transition from sweet up front to tart in the finish, slightly juicy, slightly acidic.

Mouthfeel: Crisp and big-bubbled - result of all that effervescence in a relatively thin body - resulting in a puffy and uneven mouthfeel. It doesn't work too poorly with these flavors, though in most beers it would be really distracting.

Drinkability: An interesting brew. The watermelon definitely comes through on this one, adding both a few complex fruit sugars as well as a tart, slightly puckering note in the finish. It works decently well with the beer's base too, though the whole package just leaves a little to be desired, in my opinion. On the drinkable side, it's low in alcohol and solidly made. Perhaps a few tweaks with this one - adjusting the malt base to something a little solider and simpler, and modifying the watermelon addition somehow (I know this is difficult, haha) would make this one a really tasty fruit beer. Still glad I got a chance to try it. Plus, it's in a can - another bonus!

Poured from 12oz can into DFH pint glass. No canning date is present on the packaging. It is a seasonal release, so I am assuming it isn't that old. **Preface: Not my favorite style. Purchased for wife who likes wheats.

A: Pours a hazy yellow color. Pretty much no head at all. Carbonation is not great. Some lacing.

S: Mostly yeasty. Strange smells. When I really got in there I got some fruit (melon) smells but not as overpowering as I was expecting.

T: The flavor of this is strange. Really different. I get the watermelon but it's just kind of off putting actually. I really didn't like this at all and almost drain-poured the last 1/4 of it.

M: Very watery (thank god actually). Nothing that lingers with you.

O: I like 21st Amendment and most of their offerings, just not into this one. I bought a 6-pack and THANK GOD the wife likes it....she'll be drinking the rest of it alone!

Presentation: It was served on tap and poured into a pint glass. The beer menu listed the abv at 4.9%.

Appearance: The body has a hazy straw yellow color with light foamy head on top. It’s head fizzled out quickly.

Smell: The aroma is fairly light overall. It brings some light wheat malt and white bready maltiness to the nose. It also has nice natural watermelon notes as well as and mild mineral like character.

Taste / Palate: It’s lightly bodied and like it’s aroma it has light pale bready and wheat maltiness with a light sweetness and an equally balanced watermelon flavor. Again like it’s aroma it also has a slight mineral flavor note and just a very light herbal hop bitterness in the finish. Notes: This is definitely a hot summer day or lawn mower beer. It’s thin and light making it easy drinking and interesting. It like that the watermelon taste is natural and some candy like flavoring added to a light wheat beer.

Poured into a fluted pint glass, color is opaque pale gold. No head and no lacing.

Smell is odd, mix of wheat malt and mild bitterness but not a normal flavor mix.

Taste is big hit of watermelon, but too punch, can definitely taste concentrate off flavors. The malt finishes up the flavor with a mild bitterness in there as well.

Mouthfeel is a good balance of sweetness and hint of bitter with some lingering pleasant watermelon.

Overall, an interesting brew, something off in the scent and a little two pungent of watermelon flavor upfront.
