Poured a clear pale golden color. A fluffy two finger off white head sat on top. Aroma of sweet malts and vanilla oak. Still it has nice earthy tones from the cascade and Simone, some citrus and bright fruits. Taste is sweet, lots of roasted malts and some orange peel. Smooth vanilla-like flavors from the oak, followed by an unexpected hop aftertaste. The bitterness lingers like grapefruit and resinous pine.

Can > Pint Glass

A - Pours out a nice gold, thick foamy two finger white head, medium lacing.
S - Orange juice, white grapes, some sweeter candy kinda malt, a little dankness from the hops.
T - Lots of juicy hop flavor that fades to a nice bite with some sweet malt, a little like cherries.
M - Cloyingly sweet, but not boozy for 9.7
O - Best thing Ive had from 21st, and the only thing I'd get again from them as well.

A: Pours a clear yellow-gold with two fingers of white head that fades into a thin layer with a little lacing.

S: Sweet, citrusy hop aromas with notes of pineapple, orange, apricots, and nectarines. There are notes of caramel and vanilla toward the finish.

T: Sweet citrusy hops here as well, mostly with flavors of oranges and pineapples. There are notes of grapefruit in there as well. Stronger caramel, vanilla, and oak flavors come through before a light alcohol warmth on the finish.

M: Medium body with lowish carbonation, this beer is a bit sticky sweet feeling.

O: An enjoyable IPA overall, though a bit different than most. More complex and like a barleywine than a huge hop bomb. Still, it's tasty and drinkable.

Oak spirals? What are those? Is that like an oak slinky?

As is usually the case, the wood kind of sucks some life out of the ipa-ness of things here. Gets muddled. The hop character does seem to show better than I recall from the last time I had it. A nice drinker. Don't think I'll go for this again. (That's twice now. Which is damn near a record for me.)
