Dark yellow light orange pour, white head, mild hop notes, not really all that impressive with the aroma, but nothing bad.

Taste, wow, the whole concept for the beer hits me. This is an english ipa, hence, King George, ah, should have seen that coming before I even tasted it. Highly hopped, with pilnser/euro high alpha hop variety hopping it seems, there's some harshness of bitterness and alcohol.

Overall, nice to see an English IPA be aggressive, reminiscient of arcadia's double hopmouth at times, but nonetheless, still not going to bowl you over if you aren't into english style ipa's v. west coast.

Dark gold, full on inch of white head. Total English ipa job up here, hops barely noticeable, almost a Burton like yeast approach.

Strangely this was really bitter still. I guess bittering hops are fine, just keep the flavor out of the EIPA genre. Kind of weird, but makes it actually more enjoyable and relateable.

The alcohol heat and bitterness at least make this stand up for itself.

On-tap at 21A

A: The pour is a light amber color with a finger's worth of white head.

S: A pretty light nose for an IPA (even if it is an English one). Mostly malts on the nose, primarily of the biscuit and toasted variety with a light floral and earthy hop character.

T: There is a surprising amount of alcohol present for a 6% beer, though this dissipates after the first few sips. Lots of earthy hops that provide a moderate level of bitterness on top of the biscuit malt notes.

M: The body and carbonation are in the medium realm. The finish is not all that bitter.

D: Although the alcohol flavor does dissipate a bit after the initial sip, this one was still pretty middle of the road.
