Appearance: dark brown, nearly opaque. Fairly thick tan head on the pour that recedes to wisps.
Smell: rich chocolate and a musky hint that must be the oyster shells. Makes for a quite rich and nice nose.
Taste: just as the nose advertises.
Overall: my first oyster stout so not sure how it stacks up. Quite enjoyed this. A rich and creamy stout with a little edge.

A: Poured black into a pint glass with ruby around the edges where light can get through with a small light tan head that fades to a small mat
S: smells of roast malt, coffee and chocolate
T: tastes of roast malt, chocolate, coffee, and slight sweetness. swallow brings bitter roast malt and coffee with a bit of chocolate
M: full mouthfeel with soft carbonation. very smooth on the palate
O: a very nice stout. very good flavors and balance. Don't let the oyster shell addition dissuade you.

On draft at The Lark, East Northport, NY.

Poured a black hue with a two finger frothy off white head. There was good retention and lacing.

The smell featured lactose, cocoa and black malt.

The taste consisted of the same elements, with a tasty cafe au lair element countered by a dry black malt.

The mouthfeel was typical of the style.

Overall a tasty and hefty stout.

12 oz can poured into 16oz Deschutes pint glass:

A: Almost pitch black, but mostly a very very dark brown. 1.5 fingers of rich mocha colored head.

S: The briney, mineral like notes hit the nose immediately, followed by Chocolatey, bitter roasty and fruity notes.

T: Very creamy and smoothe. Chocolatey roast notes are prevalent, but it is not a bitter roast. Sweet, dark fruits and dark caramel.

M: Medium -full creamy body

O: Really creamy, chocolate roasts, with dark fruits. The oyster notes come through in the nose a bit as mineral like notes.

12oz can poured into a tulip.

Black with some translucency. 1-2 fingers of creamy, tan head.

Dark chocolate, brine and espresso.

Semi-sweet chocolate, dark roast coffee and a dusting of cocoa. Some brine and hints of vanilla. Finishes with bitter espresso.

Medium bodied, creamy and smooth.

The brine is well incorporated and this drinks pretty easily at nearly 8%. This is a very nice Oyster Stout.
