Style: Saison / Farmhouse Ale

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 6.20%

Availability: Winter

Notes / Commercial Description:
You might not expect a Saison in winter. But the enemy didn’t expect Washington to cross the icy Delaware, either. Expectations be damned, we say. We’re sneaking up on winter with a boatload of bravado and this Belgian-style farmhouse ale. Dry hopped with whole organic cardamom pods, our Saison has an assertive spiciness. In your face, winter.

a hazy light yellow pour with 2 fingers of white head which left behind nice amounts of lacing. smells of lemongrass, pepper, a nice fruity citrus scent of tangerines. a very floral flavor.. lemongrass, pepper are both there, honey, sunflower petals come to mind in a weird way. medium body with a nice amount of carbonation. a slight sting on the lips from the alcohol.. feels nice.

this is a pretty decent saison in a season where there's barely any competition. i gotta hand it to 21st amendment for the bold move of releasing this now.. and thank them at the same time :)

Nice saison, pretty much everything you look for in one. Tart, but not overpowering, yeast note, and a touch of cardamom. Light body, very drinkable.

This beer, with its fine lacing and working man saison smell, reminds me of Alicja Kowalewski, a Polish farm girl that I met after I took 12 hits of LSD, lost my mind and wandered through the countryside of Poland for 3 months in a sort of lysergic induced stupor. I only came out of it after eating McDonalds french fries. Something about the salty goodness and the transfatty wonderment of those fries snapped me back to REALITY. Anyhow, Alicja had a herd of wild chickens and a turnip patch that was to die for, and she could yodel Hank Williams songs and play the nose flute. I kid you not. To top it all off , after a long, hard, sweaty day of working on Alicja's turnip patch and herding her wild chickens (she would be off at the market selling things) I would wander back to the shack she shared with me and she would have a cold glass of saison (crystal snifter, go figure) waiting for me (she kept it cooling in the creek). So hats off to Sneak Attack Saison for bringing back these flashbacks of Alicja and my days of chicken and turnip farming while in an LSD induced stupor. Uwielbiam dobre piwo dziecko, a ja nigdy nie zapomnę ciebie i twoich kurczaków

Clear golden colored beer with a puffy white colored head.

Smells floral and spicy with a powdery yeast scent. Smells sweet with a fair aroma of coriander. Scents of summer flowers and a faint bubblegum scent.

Starts out mildly sweet with a quick drying flash of spice. Lemon and pepper with fainter taste of mineral water and bubblegum. Moderate bitterness. Taste of flora but no fauna.

Mouthfeel is good.

Overall this is a tasty Saison.
