Pours from the 11.2oz skinny bottle a crystal clear golden yellow with a half inch of creamy bubbly head sitting on top. Lots of active carbonation present. The aroma begins with a toasted pale malt character. Sweet grains intermingle with a spicy, grassy hop that's quite pronounced. A mellow skunkiness is present but not distracting.

First sip brings a wave of creamy, toasted grains with light lemon zest undertones. A crisp, spicy herbal hop slides in midway through the sip and flows down with a nice bitterness at the end. I get an odd metallic flavor that's a bit offputting as well. Otherwise, this is a nice pilsener.

Mouthfeel is light and a bit dry with plentiful bubbles throughout. Goes down smooth and has a nice body for a pilsener. The metallic twang leaves me not wanting another. I was happy to try it, but it's not something I'd personally seek out again. Thanks to kmpitz2 for tossing me this one.

Poured a 500ml can into a pint glass. A two finger fine white head on a clear pale yellow. Good head retention.
Crisp malt smells.
A bit skunky. Prominent hop finish.
Medium body and carbonation.
A somewhat unique flavour profile, but there are better German Pilsners out there.

Geen glass 330 ml bottle, 4,9% abv
Poured at 6% abv, at around 6 degrees celcius, in a straight palm glass, 2 finger white had, fast dissolving, low carbonation, watery light yellow colour, clear see through.
Has some nice lacing though.
Smell, malty, wet wood.
Good moothfeel, smooth and pleasant.
Taste, very malty, nu umpleasant first, but a bit bitter skunky aftertaste. Some pepper lingering in the throat.
Medium taste has a little twist of flowery sweetness.
Bit of bitter hopps, but drinking this after the Urquell, it seems better balanced.
Only the skunkiness wastes this a bit for me.

Poured from bottle. Classic, clear, light pilsner gold. Medium carbonation. Slightly skunky on opening. Taste is malts, grass and grainy hops. Smells cheapish but tastes better. Easy to drink, prob won't repeat in a hurry.

Has a bit of the heineken / becks skunky smell that's initially a turnoff. However, the flavors are quite balance, there's a decent malt quality present, and the finish is rather clean and slightly dry. Only one bottle, so I'm enjoying it but won't seek out again.

Pours a clear light gold from the can (~ 4 months old), light 0.5" head that fizzles away with excellent lacing. Nose is a little alkaline and metallic, grassy and spicy noble hop aromas, some sweet malt or grain. Definitely a smell I associate with import lagers, whether by design, age or a little bit of both. Taste follows - moderate spicy/earthy bitterness throughout the palate and balanced by only a small amount of grainy sweetness. The bitterness, however, is refreshing, rather than challenging. Carbonation is crisp, though the feel is slightly heavier than I'd like. Been ages since I had this fresh(er) in Germany, but it's available locally on tap pretty reliably - will have to try and compare to this can.

500 ml can - no date that I can find

pours a clear light yellow golden, thick bone-white colored head. great head retention. I agree with the label on the can - crisp bitterness, some grassy hops, and drier finish. thinner bodied but has a nice smooth finish.

Bottled 10/25/22; drank 4/15/23 @ the Yarchives.

See-through dull yellow appearance.

A rough pour yielded a nice bright white head; strong lacing remained.

Skunk spray, corn & faint honey notes in the nose.

Medium mouthfeel.

Skunk spray, corn & mild honey flavors.

Yeah...this is a skunky beer (on purpose, I believe) which is not my bag. It's drinkable, however.

0,5l draft at an Irish pub in Mainz. This is the definition of mediocre. It’s drinkable, it’s a Pilsner, and it’s a beer, but it is very much forgettable. This is like the Bud Light of Germany.

A bitter german pilsner. nice harmony between body and hops for a pilsner. the body is not round but neither is it very watery or weak. the bitterness is nice but quite more bitter than other pilsners. if you like bitter thirst quelching beer this a very good one.
