I like this place, and would recommend to folks looking for decent food/pizza with a decent selection of beer. Also conveniently located in the mall to rescue you after family shopping trips. Plenty of tables and space to sit, food is decent and moderately priced, service can be a little lacking at times as far as attentiveness, the tap last is fairly decent and covers a wide range from lights to darks, seems to focus on the Pacific Northwest as well.

I had read some good reviews, but was a little let down when I saw their tap list . Nothing new for me here. Good, but not great pizza, and some decent bottles, but not that broad. I was expecting more.

Another day, another Old Chicago and my eternal thanks to BDitty187 for putting me onto this chain in the first place.

This was a much different setup and layout than in pervious locations which I had visited. This one was set on the first floor of a multi-level mall, directly across from Borders bookstore. Entering from the mall, the bar was at a right-oblique with the dining area on a left-oblique and through a doorway. The bar area was ringed with booths and there were islands and high stools in the center.

Beers: They had thirty (30) taps doubling as the back bar with two coolers flanking each side of the tap set-up. I had an Alaskan Amber on draft and I would have liked to have "discovered" more Laughing Dog beers, but nothing more than Sweet Stout was available. 8=(

A: This is the smaller, quieter Old C's in Boise. 110 beers all the time, beers from all over and I mean it. Mostly quert during the day and night time is usually not that bad either. A few games to play next to the bar.

Q: Good food and beer

S: Never bad for me

S: Most beers on tap were PAC NW beers. Plenty of seating and usually a lot of eye candy, If you want to experience a vast selection go here but the main drawback was no Idaho beers.

F: Pizza was always good, so was clazones and desserts

After a day of shopping at the mall, this was the place to have a beer and pizza.

Old Chicago had a good selection of beers on tap but an even better selection in bottles. On hand was Deschutes, Stone, Alaskan, Samuel Smith, Lindeman's and one I hadn't had in a long time, Sheaf Stout, plus a few more. The barman knew his brews and even made a couple of selections for me. He even told me of a few more places in town to get a good beer.

Prices were reasonable and the pizza was great. When I'm in this town, I'll make sure I come by here again.
