Bottle into matching Fantome tulip appears a rich amber color with clarity and thick khaki head rests atop persisting long leaving a webbing of lace.

Aroma has a very clean saison profile with clove, pepper and spices a plenty with an underlying fruitiness and hints of bubblegum.

Taste is clove and typical clean saison phenolics upfront with a fruitiness mid palate before a crippling amount of bitterness overtakes. Its a bitterness so strong like double ipa meets pine tar and dandelion sap. Alcohol is noticeable across the finish with warmth.

This brew is medium in body with ample carbonation. By Fantome standards, this is excessively bitter but still provides a depth of character to enjoy. I’ll revisit this in 5 years and hope the bitterness has tempered to reveal all the other goodies this has to offer.
