A - Pours a muddy river water colour, with a thick white head and swirls of sediment.

S - Mould, wet blanket, apple cider vinegar. Sour and rustic.

T - Bags of funky yeast here, peach, pear and apple cider.

M - Chalky in the finish, high carbonated and pritzy.

O - Plenty of farmhouse character.

Hazy golden colorwith a really rocky, pillow-like head. Smells a little earthy. The taste is "rustic", earthy, spice, actually quite tasty but overall I would prefer Dupont. It seems like I always use DuPont as the measuring stick for saisons and some come close but few if any exceed it.

33cl, best before the end of Nov. 2015, purchased in Belgium.

Pours a lightly hazy golden amber with a nice, clumpy and creamy head. Good retention, some lacing.

The aroma is lightly fruity, with a faint citrus rind character and floral quality.

Flavor is surprisingly bitter for a light Saison. Wheaty and grainy flavors come through, along with a spicy and medicinal quality. Grassy hop flavor. The mouthfeel is highly carbonated and a tad too much at first, but it creams up nicely after a while.

Nice Saison. I remember enjoying it more on a previous occasion, but this bottle was solid.

Deep golden color, not quite amber. Cloudy since it's unfiltered. A little bit of yeast sediment on the bottom. A nice, hoppy flavor, similar to an IPA. Very good!

Sampled on tap at the Craft Beer Market in Calgary. This was an extremely bright a fruity Saison, so much so that I intially wondered if our server got the order correct. Upon further tasting, I found more of the pepper, honey and peach. I thoroughly enjoyed this beer and would love to have another run at it. It is crisp, bright, and easy to enjoy.

Mmm-mm-mm-mmm-m-mmm! This is one fiiiine beer. I let it warm up a bit out a the fridge. Poured with a small to medium sized cream colored head and a little head. Color is a very slightly hazy light to medium amber with a few bubble trails. Aroma is dominated by yeast; so, pungent, bitter, earthy; plus some malt. Flavor is largely simmilar; no sweetness to speak of; bitterness and acridity standing out. Body is very good and carbonation is on the mark. Finish is like flavor with a touch ouf alcohol. Excellent summer beer. Ditto for session.

Pours a hazy medium orange with billowing, dense eggshell colored head, settles to a thin cap, thick sheet of lace coating the glass. Smell: spicy and peppery with pear and apple and a bit of whole grain bread. Taste: follows the nose... pear, crisp apple, moderately hoppy...spicy, leafy; peppery. Some sugar cookie meets hawaiian roll backdrop. Medium bodied with exceptionally creamy feel.

750ml bottle, wrapped in a paper outer shell. Another massive over-foaming at cap poppage - thank you, refermentation and 'taste evolution'.

This beer appears a cloudy, almost opaque without backlighting, medium golden amber hue, with a towering column of thin, boisterously foamy white head, which leaves a 3 year old's idea of a landscape portrait of sudsy lace around the glass as it slowly and steadily recedes.

It smells of grainy pale malt, black peppercorn, sharp, somewhat funky yeast, and fruity and grassy hops. The taste is edgy wheaty grain, a bit of oily lemongrass tartness, more softly funky yeast, a weaker white pepper spiciness, and some sparkly earthy, herbal, and leafy hoppiness.

The carbonation is still rather fizzy and frothy, the body a wan middleweight under all that, and more or less smooth in the face of that general tart and herbal character. It finishes just off-dry, the grain asserting itself to a certain degree, as the pepper, yeast, and hops dance a merry tango.

A decent enough Saison, nice and peppery and kind of fruity - hell, I weirdly had a sneezing fit halfway through, as the pepper essence executed its little transformation. Anyways, a rather enjoyable affair, after that messy start.
