Hazy orange beer, 2-finger white head, low retention.
Smell - yeast esters, yellow fruits.
Taste - moderate bitterness, herbal hops, utterly dry, slightly astringent.
Light body, good carbonation.
Disappointing.

Amber orange color with a thick head with great retention.
Aroma with lots of bread, Belgian yeast, hay and herbal hops.
Spicy flavor with notes of oranges, peppery yeast, herbal hops, grapefruit, pear and lemon. Dry and bitter aftertaste.
Light to medium body with somewhat effervescent carbonation.
Hoppy and spicy Saison with assertive notes and fruity nuances. Original and interesting.

I was quite excited when I poured my first glass. The aroma was spot on and it poured nice and clear with a pale to golden color. The aftertaste in the mouth was pleasant. What let it down was the taste. The was an overriding bitterness which was unpleasant and it lacked body.

Cloudy orange amber color, white head, orange and pineapple on the nose. Taste is dry, funky, bitter, hits a beautiful note somewhere both in the attack and aftertaste, mango maybe? Mouth feel is slightly buttery, thick and slimy but in a subtle and acceptable way. Very unique.

Bottled: December 11, 2015. Best before December 05, 2020. ABV: 5.5 %

A hazy, yellow to orange beer with a two finger high, white head.

Nose: Bread, Belgian yeast, honey, sweet caramel malt, herbs, spicy hops and citrus.
Taste: Malty flavor, spices, grass, orange peel, citrus and nuts.
Mouth: Dry and bitter. Medium, smooth carbonation. A little to much bitterness at the end.

I have one bottle that I will cellar fore some years and we’ll see if it matures.

L: pours a golden color, cloudy , gives of small top of head that disolves quickly .very bubbly

S: A fresh aroma with citrus , grass ,peppe and notes of banana ripes

T&F: fresh and rounded flavours with citrus and spices, The fruity taste in the first sip, yeasty middle taste . Hoppy bitterness in the aftertaste. All in all very refreshing. Is a very easy drinkable saison. I think this would be much greater to enjoy a hot summerday.

O : A good saison, refreshing and enjoyable.A beerstyle i start to enjoy more and more

Saison De Dottignies has a thin, white head, a murky, bright gold-orange appearance, noticeable beige yeast chunks roiling about, and almost no lacing left on the glass. Once the bottom, caked sediment is swished loose and poured in, the beer takes on a juice look (think of apricot juice). The aroma is of peach cobbler, sweet bread, sourdough bread, light caramel candy, and honey biscuits. Taste is the same, with some lower-level bitterness dancing about. There may also be nougat, mild nuts, and powdered sugar-covered beignets. Mouthfeel is high medium, and Saison De Dottignies finishes on the dry and drinkable side. Lovely stuff, but odd for the style. RJT
