On tap at Grace Bay in Provo. The amber pours a light copper/caramel in color with decent clarity. A rich cap of off white foam lingers for some time.

Nose of thin caramel malts and grain, yet somewhat devoid of any hop notes. Flavor is a bit better than the nose with a continued caramel base. A lack of hop bitterness is evident but seems quite apropos for the tropical environment. Easy feel though a bit thin and simple given the light bready texture of the brew. An easy drink on the beach and preferred over the equally unhopped lager offering which was a bit coarse in texture.

Beer pours well. Head was creamy and foamy at first, but faded fast and diid not last long. Very clear and bubbly. I had one served with and without a lime. Stick to w/o the lime.

No noticeable aroma hop characteristic at all. Not overly bitter, but well balanced. Definite use of barley with a slight hint of carmel, very interesting. Very light and fits the environment well (given that the sun was out and temps always in the 80s). Finishes well and doesn't leave any aftertaste. After finishing one, I did desire another. Not watery, as I would expect, but if brewed with island water (which by Turks & Caicos nature is a bit off), I can see where this beer gets some of its uniqueness.

On draft at Danny Buoy in Providenciales (3.20.11). Appealing caramel color with a foamy white head that doesn't last long. No lacing. Watery mouth feel that I usually find unpleasant but given the climate it's not that bad. No noticeable hop presence as the malts dominate. It has a decent finish, and I can't detect the bitter aftertaste encountered by an earlier reviewer.

If you're on the island (lucky you!) it's a decent option if you want something other than a mass produced lager (though I'd recommend one of the tasty Guiness foreign extra stouts instead).

I bought this from the Pirate's Bar overlooking a great beach. I honestly was surprised this beer was so good. I have read some negative reviews of "Friends bringing the beer back" and other things. Maybe it was my cigar or my surroundings... but this was a great beer. Not a typical watery beer you find on a beach.
