Our flagship Amber Lager bears a medium body with a dash of caramel malt sweetness that’s quickly curbed by pleasing hop notes and a crisp lager finish.

Sweet, solid, smooth and nowhere near as strong as you'd think from the 6% ABV. On draft at Maxie's, Milwaukee. Clear and orangey in colour, with a white head that dissipates to a retentive ring. Floral and light on the nose. Bready, with a corn sweetness on the tongue, and a sticky-sweet lingering aftertaste. Incredibly drinkable without excessive fizziness.

Look: Clear Amber turning orange dense off-white head that stays for around a while, long enough to leave just a little lace on the glass.
Smell: malty distinct hints of caramel, aromatic Hops are present, sweet floral fresh and aromatic
Taste: malt backbone with slight sweet caramel overtone, hop tastes of Hallertau (probably Mount Hood) with Nobel bitterness to the rear) Carmel note bends towards honey as it warms and cascade stays back.
Feel: Mouthfeel is pleasant malt forward with sufficient carbonation that doesn't get in the way. It feels like summer, a little bit of honey and hay. A subtle hint that If I was stronger Oktoberfest would be on its way.

Some foamy head for a few moments after a rough pour. Mild bready aroma leads to a decent malty backbone. Good clean mouthfeel. An overall decent lager.

Amber hued with excellent clarity. There’s a fingernail of off white around the rim and covering three quarters of the top. There’s excellent clarity aroma is of bready malt. I’m tasting bready malt and marzipan. The mouth is smooth and very approachable.

This is a beer I’ve had on more than several occasions since coming to Wisconsin. This review is coming live on-tap from one of the many taverns in the state. On to the beer:
Orange amber colored with a crop of whispy head above which leaves a a show of tiny spots dotting the glass. Smells like toasted malt with a touch of sweetness and a whisper of hops.
On the more bitter side, yet there’s enough of the sweet Caramel and toast to punch back and keep me knocking back the glass. With a medium-light body with pleasant bubbles, it’s a beer I can do several of. Along with Spotted Cow, one of the most “Wisconsin” craft beers from the state.

been ages since i had a beer from lakefront. they kind of fizzled out in the places ive lived where their beer used to get sent, but i guess they are still alive and well in milwaukee, good for them. this one is pretty pedestrian, a basic amber lager, but sweet to me, overly malty even in a malty style, a little cheap and watered down too, metallic as it warms, best when its ice cold, but even then i wouldnt call it a clean lager, and overall this ended up leaving a bit to be desired. copper colored and high headed, just off from full clarity but close, simple looking, appealing. the aroma is understated, generic malty, sweet, hints of brown sugar, chestnut, and minerals if i am being nice, cheap almost extract malt and metal if im not, very subtly european lager yeast character, faint smoke, sort of an autumnal profile but lighter than it looks. it takes on a copper pennies thing as it warms, but when its cold it has a light herbal hop note on top of simple heavier crystal and kilned malts, light english and german grain character too to me, nutty but mellow enough still to be approachable fully. it doesnt quite have the body for what its trying to be, and with scare huge bubble carbonation, it felt watered down to me where i had it. fine with spicy and salty foods, maybe even enhaced by them, but on its own a lackluster malty beer that hits part old school fat tire, part toasty vienna lager, and homebrew kit beer. old school in a way that im also kind of saying its a relic of a bygone ara of craft, not enough attention to detail to be considered good by current standards. i liked the other lakefront beer i had while recently in wisconsin quite a bit better...
