Appears a bright golden orange tinted hue with a brilliant white head, forming thick mushroom cloud like billowing head that dimples nicely with a sturdy pourt. Lacing is strung evenly in an artisinal nature. Aromatics are composed of pale biscuit malt sweetness, a touch of tart apple and sulfur with some mild cooked veggies. Also herbal lemon grass citric notes peak through as well. Flavor has a sweet cereal grain with lemon and grassy hops, more green apple tartness which is outta place in a pils for me. Mouthfeel is light bodied with a nice edge of softness provided with the finessed carbonation level. Drinkability overall is decent definitely light and refreshing, but I wasn't down with the extra apple flavor I was getting in the flavor.

Botted date of "First week of June" no year.

Pours a little hazy straw yellow color with more than a finger of white head. Leaves a fair amount of lacing. Nose has minor malt sweetness and just a bit of citrus and grassy notes. Decent amount of carb and medium to light feel. Tasting just a bit of malt sweetness but the rest of this experience flirts with the "green bottle beer" taste. Very slight skunked taste in it. Finish is slightly bitter but nice and crisp.

Bottled Dec. - 2nd Week - notched on label - poured into glass:

Pours bright golden with a foamy 2+ finger head that descends and stays leaving lacing.

The smell is of hay/newly-mowed grass and grainy.

The taste is grainy - slightly tart fruity. It's sweet with a hint of tart - with a mild bitterish touch in the finish.

It is light-bodied with medium carbonation for the style - slightly sluggish with an oily/slick feel.

It's a mild, "refreshing" pils. Pretty basic - well-balanced, has a dryish touch.

Clear golden hued, transparent at bottom, vague haze at top, covered by a slim, white head, which doffs it's cap and bids adieu in a trice.
Nose is spare, floral, lightly lemony and herbal, subtly hoppy, feels just right for the style.
Mild entrance on the palate, good malty feel...doesn't impress at first, but I warm up to it more as I drink...gets tastier, nice, bright flavor, decent texture.
good "lawnmower" beer, "hedgetrimmer" pils, "weedpuller" lager, whatever you want to call it. Citric feel follows through in the finish, feels quite nice in the mouth.
Not a favorite style of mine, so I probably won't revisit this, but do recommend it to those so inclined.

Pours a cloudy yellow color with suspended yeast. One and one half inch head of a white color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of pine, herb, yeast, slight citrus, and sweet malt. Fits the style of a German Pilsner. Mouth feel is smooth and crisp with a high carbonation level. Tastes of sweet malt, yeast, slight citrus, and slight grass. Overall, a pretty decent pilsner with a good body, aroma, and appearance. A little more bitter and herbal than I'm used to for a German Pilsner.

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a pale yellow color with a 1 inch head. Smell is mild, slightly sour. Taste is mild, some malts and hops, not a whole lot of flavor. Feels good in the mouth and has average drinkability. Overall this is a mediocre brew.

Pours a lovely gold with a tall white head. The head doesn't stay long, but there is some nice lacing.

Pleasant aroma, but a bit weak. Very sweet, almost wine-like malt smell with a bit of hops.

Nice tasting but again, a little weak. Bitter and a little fruity at first, unfortunately, a lot of the good flavors fall away as soon as it starts to warm up.

Good mouthfeel, nice and solid for the style, not too watery at all. Nice balance of carbonation.

Very drinkable. A good session beer or craft cross-over. Fairly simple, not too strong, but still tasty.

Poured a slightly hazy medium straw hue with a one finger foamy white head. There was decent retention and lacing.

The smell featured a light lemony hop followed by a sweet husky malt.

The taste consisted of some upfront honey sweetness with a decent floral hop. Some fruit esters apparent as well. Bready finish.

The mouthfeel was toward the fuller side for the style and slightly chewy. Maybe a bit to heavy on the tongue though.

Overall a tasty beer that grew on me as I drank it. The fullness of the malt seems to authenticate this pils, but the misplaced sweetness detracts. Either way, good drinkability.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a mug. Gold in color with a white head that retains decently well.

Smells of creamed corn and just a hint of malt. Cooked veggie dials in but I don't want to pick up.

Taste follows the nose through a liquid corn bread experience, though it is not as sweet, due to the bitter, grassy hop.

The highlight of this beer is that it is very highly carbonated and it goes down easily.

Klisch is a brew broadly in the macro lager field moreso than an authentic german pilsner. Its decent enough, simple, but decent.

12 oz. bottle,

A: Pours a pale yellow, good clarity, head is light with solid retention, spotty lacing.

S: Nice jolt of noble hops, spice and mint, some berry and sweet malt.

T: Sweet notes of malt and corn, light meady character. Hops are relatively light, this seems more like a Helles than a Pils, but the flavour is solid. Sweet finish.

M: Feel is light-bodied, smooth and creamy. I would like a bit more carbonation to style, not bad overall.

D: A good beer, I'd say a Kolschy pilsner due to the name, it seems like a hybrid of the 2 styles. Certainly worth a shot. Not amazed, but a good beer from Lakefront.

12oz. bottle poured into a pilsner glass. Bottled week 1 of March 2011. Thanks to BeerFMAndy for the bottle!

(A)- Pours a clear yellow color that produced a nice fluffy white head with great retention behind it & lacing aplenty.

(S)- A nice dryness with bits of lemon and lightly earthy grains.

(T)- A nice mild honey-like sweetness with subtle lemon and several earthy grains I cannot pinpoint.

(M)- A nice crisp carbonation level and balance. A mild malty sweetness with those earthy grains.

(D)- For the style, this is quite a good beer. Crisp and refreshing with a super easy drinkability.

12oz bottle

A- Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow color with an off-white head.

S- The aroma is faint grainy malts, lemon and hops.

T- The taste is grain, citrus and a hint of hops and yeast in the finish.

M- The mouthfeel is light bodied with a good amount of carbonation.

O- Overall, this is a decent beer that would be a nice quaffable beer in the warm summer months if nothing else is around.

A: Pale corn coloring, pristine clarity, with a light but rapid rise rise of carbonation. The head was soapy, scarce, quick to dissipate with no calling card on the glass.

S: Nose was very sweet, buttery grains, not much after that.

T: Flavor was sweet buttery grains, soft flowery hops, light spiciness and a touch of honey sweetness. Light orange citrusy-orange hints, some hay and lemon-flowery.

M: Medium bodied, somewhat crisp, but not tongue grabbing.

O: Overall easy flavor but leans way to much on the sweet and buttery side limiting drinkability. Not true to typical style. I would pass on this one per style.

Poured out of the bottle a golden, almost straw colored beer has cloudy appearance and herbal hop aroma. A lot of carbonation with a lot of foam. It isn't assertively hoppy for a pilsner, but has pleasant herbal hop flavor. Not too much bitterness. Very smooth, fresh malt backbone making for a nice smooth, medium-bodied beer.
