Very Good
Warm FrontWarm Front
Notes: Warm Front arrives in the glass clear copper-gold with a fine, white head. Aromas of pineapple, tangerine, lemon and tropical fruit blow in from late-boil Citra® and Mosaic® hop additions. A medium body delivers sweet citrus with light biscuit and caramel malt flavors, finishing malty-sweet with lingering orange zest bitterness. It’s a vacation from the typical winter ale.

Bottle with a May 15 2017 BBD poured into a pint glass.
A-2 fingers of a eggshell white big bubbled foam atop a dark golden color. Lots of yeasty sediment throughout. The foam sticks to the top of the beer and laces the glass very nicely.
S-Definitely can smell the mosaic and citra. Highly aromatic and pleasing.
T-The nice aromatic hops come through nicely. I get a bit more of the blueberry like mosaic than the passionfruit taste of citra. Digging deeper this beer has a nice bready malt quality.
M-Moderate to high carbonation that carries the hop oils nicely. A bit of vapory alcohol as the beer warms. Quick finish with low bitterness.
O-I'm a fan of the citra/mosaic beers and this one does not disappoint at all. I would be happy to drink this one all year. Well done Lakefront.

Poured from 12oz bottle into glass. Best by date stamped on label is '08 MAY 2018-B1'.
Slightly cloudy body, color is deep gold with a hint of orange. Two finger white head settles to puffy cap and ring. Leaves behind spots and strings of lacing.
Aroma of citrus fruits (pineapple and lemon), with biscuit malts.
Strong citrus hops taste, with caramel and biscuit malts. Mild hop bitterness, with added tangy aspect.
Medium mouth feel, with good carbonation. Dry finish.
This is overbalanced with the citrus tang, but otherwise unremarkable.
Current website lists the ABV at 5.4%.

Bottle. White head. Some lace. Golden orange color.

Very sharp citrus fruit flavors. Orange and grapefruit. Really in your face. Floral, fresh, earthy, hoppy. Light biscuit malts. Decent, but the citrus needs to be toned down a bit. I am guessing the citra and mosaic had something to do with this.

12 oz bottle with a BB date of 15 May 2017 served in a lager glass.
Very slightly hazed amber body with visible carbonation. This is topped by a durable head. Particularly fine looking lacing.

Aroma: fairly strong (think IPA) and hoppy with plenty of citrus notes.

Flavor: moderately strong with a delicious mix of hop flavors over a more subtle bready malt base with some caramel.

Overall: an excellent APA. No surprise I really like this given my fondness for Lakefront's IPA and for Citra hops.

Great hazy dark golden hue. After taste is refreshing. Love the smell probably the most.

12oz bottle
A - hazy, deep golden/pale amber colored body with a thick ivory colored head
S - nice tropical hop aroma of lemon-lime, passion fruit, pineapple, light caramel
T - bold, juicy tropical hops with notes of mango, passion fruit, lemon-lime, mandarin orange, and pineapple with a light caramel malt base
M - medium-to-full body, resinous, moderately bitter finish
O - really delicious extra pale ale that is heavy on the new age tropical hop flavors of Citra and Mosaic.

OK looking beer a bit more floaties than I expected but not too superficial about that nowadays. Color a orange yellow with a 1/4 inch of head that makes for a weak lace ring. Smells of hops and pale malts for sure. Taste is nice more pale malt and citra hops playing together nicely and with no bitter tongue you can achieve taste without destroying the palate. Makes for a good body light to medium and very easy to put down.

Overall I have had a lot of pales tonight and this is one of the better ones. Nice job lakefront!
