12oz bottle, willi becher. Slightly hazy but otherwise clear golden yellow body, one finger white head, fair retention, bit of lacing. Smell is a bit yeasty, mildly skunky, light toasted grain, biscuit. Flavour is a bit improved and more cohesive. Lightly toasted grain, a touch of lemon marmalade, crisp floral notes, mildly bitter herbal resin. Mouthfeel is lighter medium bodied, good carbonation, mildly bitter resin on the finish, not as crisp and bready as I'd like.

12oz bottle, best by 13 SEP 18. Pale golden in color with a creamy white head. Aroma is typical pilsner and actually smells authentic German with spicy and grassy noble hops, pilsner malt, slight nuttiness to the grain, and lager yeast. Malty up-front with more of that nutty grain and pilsner malt that gives way to modestly bitter hops that are spicy, earthy, and grassy. Medium body, very smooth, with a clean finish that is slightly tart. One of the best American brewed German Pilsners I've had. I'd drink this anyday.

12 oz bottle. Pours golden with long lasting white head and soda-like carbonation. Aroma is of grassy hops and biscuit malt. Body is medium and crisp. Grassy hops and biscuit malt nicely balanced on the palate. Finish is long and hoppy. Very nice Pils.

A new take on a favorite style from a favorite brewery. Full disclosure: I've been enjoying LF beers since they opened their doors 30 years ago. Might make me a fanboy, but I've always been honest with my assessments of their beers.

Part of the "Box of Beer" mixed 12 pack, best by May 14, 2018. No real info on the brown longneck's label. Poured into my short Becher glass.

L -- Clear, straw to light gold color with a strong, firm white head that's holding up well.

S -- Grassy, herbal hop note, very light graininess fighting to be recognized. Light citrus back.

T -- Bready malts up front with some light DMS. Spicy, herbal hop notes balance the malt and takes command, but the breadiness makes an encore in the finish. Nicely German hop bitterness through the life of the drink and lingering through the aftertaste. There's a light mint quality to the hop character that's a very nice balance to the sweetish malt breadiness.

F -- Soft mouthfeel with a light crispness in the finish. Light to medium light body.

O -- This is a very nice Ami rendition of the style; not too over-the-top with modern German hops and it drinks very easy. I'll definitely keep this one in mind for Pils cravings.

This came in a mixed 12pck that I bought at a grocery store in Brookfield outside of Milwaukee whilst there for a hockey tourney. It poured a clear golden with white head that is not leaving any lace. The scent had hints of bread. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink and finished slightly dry. Hints of biscuit and grain was present. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it's a decent beer.

This is an above average pilsner, it pours a nice golden color, with about a half finger head, that dissipates quickly. I poured the beer into a pint glass, which left very little lacing, This is regional but, worth a try.
