Poured a hazy orange amber with a one finger white head that dissipated to a thin film within a minute. Faint pumpkin spice nose that quickly faded to nothing. Sweet malt forward with a slight one dimensional pumpkin spice finish. A smooth medium body and light carbonation. This brew is a bit disappointing in flavor.

L: Dark orange, slight haze, no head.
S: Pumpkin spice.
T: Light however I feel the pumpkin spice is way too overdone, nearly the only thing I could taste.
F: Its a lager, its light and slightly refreshing.
O: After having the blue moon pumpkin wheat I was excited to try more. However this honestly tastes like a lager with a tablespoon of pumpkin spice in it.

L - Orangish-amber. Slightly hazy. Short white head - not persistent.

S - Sweet pumpkin; pumpkin spice - mostly nutmeg; vanilla or cream.

T - Light and sweet. Quite pumpkin-y. Spice is there, too. Nutmeg and clove.

F - Light.

O - Pumpkin beer isn't really my thing, but this one's okay with a fairly straight-forward pumpkin character.

From notes 9/10/12: Pours bright orange with a 1.5 finger, short-lived head that leaves patchy, web-like lacing. Aroma is pumpkin, spice, earthy, floral malty background heavy to caramel. Taste is ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg and pumpkin swimming in earthy dark lager roast and caramel. Heavy to ginger and cinnamon with a sweet, faintly bitter aftertaste. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with low-moderate carbonation, a little on the thin side but smooth and creamy.

Pours a fairly clear amber color. The head is 1 finger, white, but not long lasting. It dissipates to a white ring around the glass.
The nose is Well - pumpkin spices. Not too strong, but seems to me to be about right.
Taste - Very light with the spices, too light. They are there, but very weak. Some malty sweetness. No hops.
The body is ok. Not watery, and there's an almost champagne feel to it from the carbonation.
Not a bad beer, but just a bit light on the spices.

Ah yes, a pumpkin beer, wisconsinized, aka made into a bready lager. Really it is the spices and the lager grains and malts that make up the taste. Kind of bland, smell is bland too with lack of depth behind spices, and even the spices themselves being light. Body is nicely balanced and smooth. Ok entry into the style

I heard someone say that this beer taste like a Yeungling Amber Lager. I don't know what the man was talking about because this does not taste anything like a Yeungling Amber Lager or ketchup it tastes better than that. I can see a flow of bubbles going to the top of the pilsner glass rather quickly. This tastes more like a pale lager with some pumpkin and very little spices added to it. This is a mild & laid back type of pumpkin lager. It tastes like they held back on the pumpkin & spices a little too much than they should of. Cheers! B

This was definitely a very nice surprise...an example of never reading a book by its cover, or drinking a beer by its label, for that matter...

Right out of the bottle it pours a nice orange-tinged, pumpkin-akin colored liquid, light on head and no lacing to produce. The smell is pumpkins, just not necessarily appealing. Mouthfeel is smooth, lightly carbonated, but still medium-bodied, full. The taste is slightly sweet with pumpkin and has a malty background that works. Definitely a very good beer, not the best pumpkin instance I've had, but definitely one worth mentioning to other to try.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a murky orange color with a medium sized white head. The aroma is pumpkin and cinnamon. The taste is heavy on the spice with some pumpkin. A very enjoyable beer.

Murky orange color like a glass of apple cider. Head does't last. Strong pumpkin pie spice aroma with green apple. Tastes like a Granny Smith apple drenched in pumpkin pie spice. It's ok. Not as caramel malt heavy as many pumpkin beers.

Just fine for a post turkey trot libation.

Comes out brown, 1/2" head on it, tan. Aroma really kicked down the pumpkin pie and nutmeg jams. Even a little cinnamon.

Holds pumpkin smoothly the entire mouthfeel. Vanilla? Whip cream? There's a little bit of sweetness to it, nothing massive. Nice 12oz/6 pack format, decent pricing for sure. Well carbonated, a relatively light body despite the color that packs a lot of pumpkin into it. Mild caramel and brown malt underpinnings.

I'd say definitely better than your average pumpkin beer.

Pours a clear, copper color. 1/4 inch head of an off-white color. Decent retention and decent lacing. Smells of strong spice (cinnamon, and nutmeg), slight pumpkin, pale malt, slight sweet malt, and a hint of hop. Fits the style of a Pumpkin Ale. Mouth feel is sharp and clean, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of slight pumpkin, strong spice (cinnamon and nutmeg), sweet malt, hint of spice, and a hint of yeast. Overall, weak appearance, but strong aroma, body, and good blend.

12oz bottle. Best by 2016-02-05.

A: Hazy. Amber. Poured with 2 fingers high of head with short retention.
S: Banana. Pumpkin. And little spices.
T: Pumpkin. Banana. Hints of sourness and sweetness. Low bitterness. Dry.
M: Medium bodied. Crispy carbonation.
O: Elegant spices addition, I don't get cinnamon bomb. The pumpkin is working well. And the banana character makes it quite balance and flavorful.

Best by 1/22/16 12oz bottle pouted into a snifter

A- pours a clear Amber color with a small fizzy white head that disappears almost immediately, leaving nothing behind

S- nice bouquet of pumpkin spicing with an emphasis on cinnamon & nutmeg, but they all blend nicely

T- the spicing doesn't quite translate to the taste. Rather mute up front, with a malty sweetness kicking in mid-palate, hints of cinnamon near the finish, toasted finish

M- medium body and carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel and a crisp finish

O- the aroma was nice, but the flavors just don't seem to mesh

Poured into a pint glass.

3.0 A: Murky peach color. Two fingers of frothy off-white head. Retention is below average and no lacing is left.

3.25 S: Mild pumpkin spices with nutmeg and allspice most prominent. Light caramel and toastiness. Not really anything else going on. It's pretty tame, but it's not bad.

3.25 T: Tastes like the nose. Mild spices with notes of caramel and toastiness. Not a lot of flavor, but enough to make it a decent enough brew.

3.0 M: Lighter body. Good moderate carbonation. A touch watery and lacking creaminess.

3.0 D: Tame but decent.

DATE TASTED: November 4, 2015 ... GLASSWARE: Schneider Edel-Weisse pokal... OCCASION: enjoying the prelude to Teachers' Convention weekend... APPEARANCE: bright orange-amber body with minimal effervescence; clear throughout; thin, dissipating white head that subsides to minimal run of bubbles akin to iced tea... AROMA: cinnamon and nutmeg to start, with the hint of syrup and sweet malts at second scent; some evergreen spruce makes for an air freshener experience... PALATE: surprisingly vibrant, with an initial shiver to the throat; upon second sip, the mouthfeel mellows to a light-bodied, slightly textured presence--not the feel of pumpkin pie, label be damned,... TASTE: a lager, through and through, with slight suggestions of the odd yet intriguing aroma; mostly wet malty base with some phenolic yeasts...again, not exactly pumpkin pie... OVERALL: not the experience that other Lakefront brews offer--but not by much...an otherwise average attempt at a flavorful seasonal...

Look: Typical pumpkin color: Slightly cloudy: No real head to speak of: Same with lacing.

Smell: fruit, lager yeast, spice

Taste: A light malty flavored lager with some seasonal spice and pronounced sweetness throughout. Nothing in the way of bitterness.

Feel: Somewhat thin.

Overall: Another fairly enjoyable "non-threatening" seasonal that pairs well with food: Similarly would be good for those who wish to partake in a beer of the season without being overwhelmed.

L: A light copper orange. Poured with almost no head which quickly dissipates. It did leave lacing all the way down the glass.

S: No spices. A little caramelly, bready, pumpkin aroma.

T: Bready and a little pumpkin. No spices.

F: Light bodied. Clean and crisp. Went down smooth. A real easy drinker. A reminder how much different lagers can be.

O: A real treat. I enjoyed this one.

12 ounce bottle into lager glass, best before 12/25/2015. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy orange/amber color with a 1 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. light spotty lacing clings down the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, ginger, brown sugar, toasted bread, and herbal/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of pumpkin/spices and dark/bready malt notes; with decent strength. Taste of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, ginger, brown sugar, toasted bread, and herbal/toasted earthiness. Light herbal/spice bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, ginger, brown sugar, toasted bread, and herbal/toasted earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Good balance and solid robustness of pumpkin/spices and dark/bready malt flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness after the finish; and very clean on lager flavors with zero yeast ester notes present. Medium carbonation and light-medium bodied; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, and lightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish. Overall this is a good pumpkin lager style. All around good balance and solid robustness of pumpkin/spices and dark/bready malt flavors; and very smooth, crisp, and clean to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Ugh, why a pumpkin lager? It looks okay, a bit orange, but not bad. Smell is almost offensive, pumpkin beers don't need pumpkin pie spices. The spices by the way make it taste and feel like you're drinking the unfortunate child of a beer and a pumpkin pie. Overall, just a bad idea.

Slightly hazy pour with a quickly fading one finger foamy off-white head with no lacing. The nose is big on pumpkin spices with hints of ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, and caramel. The taste follows suit with pumpkin pie spices dominating. Hints of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, squash, ginger, caramel, and clove. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and syrupy with light carbonation and a sweet finish. Overall, this is a pretty mediocre interpretation of a pumpkin beer. A little too sweet for my liking.
