This poured out as a Clear looking amber color. The head was a little on the soapy looking side. The lacing was minimal and the retention wasn't overly impressive. The smell of the beer has some lager yeast aromas as well as the traditional pumpkin spice notes. The taste of the beer has an earthy spiced flavor through that mixed with the sweetness of the malts. The mouthfeel is on the thinner side with I feel it should be heavier. Overall this isn't a bad brew, just not one of my favorites.

Pours an orange amber color with a thin off white head. Aromas of baking spice, a little bready and finally some vegetal/pumpkin on the tail end. Spices dominate this beer, especially the cinnamon. I still am able to detect some pumpkin on the palate and as this is a pumpkin lager as opposed to the more popular ale it finishes pretty clean. Overall a nice pumpkin beer and the first one i have had in a couple seasons.

Poured a medium copper color with sparse white head, poor retention, no lacing.

Smell demonstartes a profound pumpkin spice character.

Taste also shows notres of pumpkin spice, but somewhat restrained.

Leaves a very short lasting pumpkin taste in the mouth. Way too thin.

An avergae pumpkin flavored beer. Nothing bad, nothing great.

Bottle poured into a tumber.

A-Golden orange color, clear, No sed., off white head a finger or two.

S- You can smell the malts and pumpkin / spices kind of cider/Esq smell

T-Has a good flavor really the spicing in this reminds me of a cider. In the middle some mild pumpkin flavors. Tasty

M- Mildy carbonated nothing very special in this department

D- Pretty drinkable, not very heavy kinda on the lighter side. The spices might get mildy annoying after a couple

Overall a nice offering at a pumpkin. A good job by Lakefront

Appearance: hazy orange in color with a one finger head. Some light lacing paints the glass.

Smell: cinammon and other spices are most notable, with some caramel sweetness in the background.

Taste: light caramel, cinammon, nutmeg, and some pumpkin flavors are balanced with some mild bitterness.

Mouthfeel: light crispness to start, smoother towards the end. SHort-lived aftertaste. Lighter side of a medium bodied beer.

Drinkability: this one is not fake in flavor like some other pumpkin beers, and with this being a lager is a lighter and somewhat refreshing. Worth trying this one.

Pumpkin this has. Spice is another thing. There isn't much. The taste is very authentic. Almost sour. The overall experience might be negative were it not for the great appearance and aroma.

They didn't over load on spice. It would have been nice to have a bit. The taste grows on you - kind of like that first bite of fruit. Sour at first but pleasing there after.

A taste two years later is compleely different. Over spiced and under pumpkined. What's up with that. Not recommended for a re-taste except maybe on my swing through the region next month, if it can be found on tap.

A: Poured into a Smithwick's pint. Pours a clear orange-amber color with a two-finger head that settles to a frothy lace with moderate stick.

S: Aroma is comprised primarily of classic pumpkin pie spices.

T: Sweet malt complemented by subtle dashes of clove, cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger. A touch of vegetable squash. Balanced by a welcomed bite of Hallertau hops.

M: Rich and creamy mouthfeel.

D: Very sessionable. Its subdued spiced nature and crisp, refreshing character make Lakefront Pumpkin Lager a worthy harvest beer.

a-golden color, not cloudy, little to no head when poured.

s-faint pumpkin pie smell, really need to drink this out of a glass, not in the bottle, without the smell you are not getting the full flavor.

t-with the smell of pumpkin there really is somewhat of a taste of pumpkin, its decent, hard to explain, because i really would never had tried the beer, if it were not for my gf that likes the beer

m- extremely smooth, no bitterness to the beer, and i really wonder what the ABV could be if any.

d-very good seasonal beer, but its not something that i will look forward to next year, if you are ever in Milwaukee, YOU NEED TO TOUR!!

Poured into a glass mug.

A: Clear light orange with two-finger, white frothy head that lasted a couple of minutes. Okay lacing.

S: Pumpkin and lots of cinnamon and spice. Nice.

T: Moderate sweetness and light bitterness. A little too much cinnamon actually. It's overpowering the pumpkin. Not bad though.

M: Light to medium bodied with fizzy carbonation.

O: This isn't amazing but it was better than the couple of pumpkin ales I had the other night. The pumpkin and spice aroma is great.

Aroma is strong and malty with a good overtone of pumpkin and cinnamon, rather appetizing. It pours a clear coppery amber with not much of a head. Pumpkin flavor is strong, but does not overpower the malt; there are hints of cinnamon and hops. Texture is glass-smooth and just a little tingly. A good fall beer, but enjoyable any time of year.

Served at about 45F after a hard pour into the classic glass Lowenbrau stein. Listening to that Mumford and Sons song...

A - Crystal clear light amber body with two perfect fingers of tight off white head. Quite pretty...

S - Right off the bat the sweet spice aroma is huge, just like my jar of allspice. It settles down after a while to reveal a mild sweet grain and a spice aroma more focused on cinnamon. Nothing here that really makes me think of canned pumpkin however...

T - Nice grainy malt sweetness in the entry with spice presence that seems to focus on cinnamon and clove. Definite mineral flavors in the midpalate that lead to a quaffable, momentarily clean finish. After a few seconds, the cinnamon comes back to remind you that this is a fall seasonal.

D - This beer works for me, its a well made lager, as Lakefront is known to do. Manages to avoid being flabby like most pumpkin beers I've had, while still having the spice to make me think fall. The only complaint would be the apparent lack of actual pumpkin flavor, although I'm not sure if it's possible to naturally add that without taking away that characteristics that I love about this beer. Anways, best pumpkin beer I've had in a sixer so far, although still not quite as good as St. Ambroise The Great Pumpkin Ale and that nice light one.. what was it? Oh yeah, Pumking.

Color is an orange golden clear color with a white head that fades fast.
Smell is of cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. maybe a light bread note from the malt.
Taste- Spices up front light cinnamon and cloves stand above the rest. A bit of grassy or hay like flavor with a tiny bit of malt character of bread and caramel. This is a lager so finishes pretty clean.

Poured into a goblet......

A - Pours a very nice amber color, fizzy bubbles disappear quickly with no head.
S - Very pleasing aroma of spice & pumpkins.
T - Clean lager flavor, light feeling, with a moderate pumpkin flavor. Not strong on spices at all.
M - Light mouth feel and carbonation, flavor disappears quickly.
O - This beer was better than I expected. Good beer, quite drinkable, a good place to start for pumpkin beer newbies. While it's not at the top of the pumpkin beer list it's a good representation of the style. I'd drink it again.

Bottle via trade as an extra thanks to boothbeer on BA.

Pours a perfectly clear copper color with a two-finger white head that lasts. Some good lacing as well.

Aroma is nice pumpkin and spices as well as some malty sweetness.

Flavor is surprisingly nice and balanced. Sweet caramel and pale malt, fresh pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice.

Somewhat smooth on the palate with medium body, just a tad watery on the finish.

Drinkability is good. Overall this is a pretty solid pumpkin beer. I was pleasantly surprised.

Clear,Orange color with a decent head. Patchy, bubbly lace.
The aroma of spices, pumpkin and malts.

The taste was sweet and full of spices with malts and a touch of alcohol.

The feel was smooth, medium body and carbonation with a crispy finish.

Notes: The malts were too mild, but it was a fine beer and worth it. I suppose that while this beer lacked in spices/malts it made up for in balance.

Poured into my pint glass the beer is a burnt orange/brown with red highlights. The off white head is fairly light but leaves a smttering of lace.

The aroma is rather pumpkin pie esque. Heavy malt with a dose of cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and vanilla. Sweet and warm smelling for sure.

The flavor is not as pumpkin as the nose. However this is a non bitter pumpkin beer. Which is a feat of it's own. Smooth malt mixed with cinnamon and vanilla. A touch of pumpkin pie in the finish.

Medium body with moderate carbonation.

Overall a very nice pumpkin beer. Granted it's the only pumpkin lager on the market so it's hard to compare. This is one of the least offensive pumpkin beers I've had.

Slightly hazy orangish amber, creamy med off-white head steadily shrinks.

Aroma is grain, dough, mild pumpkin pie.

Taste is dough, pumpkin pie, grain/biscuit finish, pumpkin pie element is light but firm and well-integrated into the overall doughy-bready beer character. It has hints of both fresh pumpkin and pumpkin-pie spices. It’s very good.

12oz bottle

A- Pours a clear orangish copper color with a very nice off-white head with great retention and lacing.

S- The aroma is pumpkin and spices. Pretty typical for a pumpkin beer.

T- The taste has some sweet malt up front and has a good dose of spices as well. The finish has some lingering spices and sweetness as well.

M- The mouthfeel is somewhere between light and medium bodied with a good amount of carbonation.

O- Overall, this is my first pumpkin beer of 2011 and it was a nice one to start the season out with.

A: Nice tawny golden color. Slight orange glow with a light colored head.
S: Great malty pie aroma. Cinnamon, nutmeg, and pumpkin. It has a sweetness to it but its not overly sweet.
T: Spicy cinnamon blended with mellow malt flavor that ends with a strong woody cinnamon flavor and sweet pumpkin. Though these flavors do remain in balance.
D/M: Nice crisp carbonation but the head really doesnt stick very well.

Oh what a difference "on tap" can make.

This beer smelled and tasted like pumpkin pie and was infinitely better than the bottle I had sampled two weeks ago.

The strange pickle relish odor and taste that was so present in the bottle was completely absent in this brew when I had it on tap.

This sample is all cloves, cinnamon, and pumpkin. It’s delicious but...still not for me.

Pours a hazy orange amber body with a small offwhite head. Good patchy lacing. Standard pumpkin beer aroma of pie spices. Cinnamon, ginger, and clove mostly. Medium carbonation and a light medium body. Taste is nicely balanced. Some genuine pumpkin flavors mingle with the dominant spicing and some spicy hops to create a pleasantly drinkable lager. I prefer this one to most of the pumpkin ales I've tried. Not bad.

This is one flavored beer I truly enjoy every year in fall. It is out early this year Aug 24. I fist had it on tap at The Mason Tavern a few years back, and what stood out was that it was easy drinking, full of flavor, and for a spiced beer, I could have drank it all night.

I poured it into a lager mug, color, pumpkin-orange, hazy, cloudy, very nice.

It had a initial aroma that was tart, sharp spice.

The flavor is beautiful, a nice lager with a mild yet full of flavor pumpkin, that sits on the back of the tongue, thick, bready, like you could chew it. Better even when the carbonation dissipates. This is one of the best pumpkin beers out there. They use real pumpkin, not just flavorings.

A excellent beer!

Pours a cloudy gold color with only a thin lace of head around the edge of the clear. A lot of floaties in this one. Aroma is pleasant with hints of nutmeg. The taste is full of spices, especially nutmeg and ginger, but not overwhelming. The mouthfeel is a little harsh, seems quite carbonated and doesn't go down all the smooth, but not much bitterness here either. Although the appearance is lackluster and mouthfeel isn't anything to brag about the aroma and taste are what make this beer stand out. Overall this is a decent beer.

12 oz bottle. Label says bottled the 4th week of July. Pours a lighter amber color, slightly hazy. Thin white head disappears very quickly, and leaves no lace.

Pumpkin pie spices, cinnamon, nutmeg up front. A hint of grainy malt. Earthy noes as well in the nose. Maybe a bit perfumy, or even artificial.

Nice smooth malt character, just a bit toasty. Some pumpkin vegetable-like flavor. Some of the cinnamon and nutmeg come in next with a bit of sweetness. Earthy finish.

Lighter body, with a good amount of carbonation. Pretty smooth, with a few highlights. Not bad.

A bit different because it you drink this too cold, its worthless. But its a lager and you dont really want it to warm up too much. Semi hazy amber bronze color. Smallish white head atop dwindles instantly. Not much of a sign of carbonation after the initial pour. Once warmed a touch, there's a solid pumpkin precense. Lots of spice in the aroma but the spice array is a bit more indescript than other pumpkin beers I have tried. Decent pumpkin beer all around. Smoother than most yet with a nice array of flavors. Finish is a tad too spiced. Solid for one, I don't think I'd really care for another.
